At the beginning of this adventure that was Primus Canada was already a weird one. It took over 1 month from start to finish of the hiring process.. 
The People are Fine the Company is not in a good state and hasnt been for a while. The management is a BIG JOKE but they are dedicated.. Their  role isnt easy in a company that has been sold so many time in the past decade. The salary is not competitive anymore and many employees over 20 years experience were making the same money i was within 5 years with the company. Since i started there was 3 times where the shed employees for X reasons. The job security is not there at Primus Canada. They have let go Brilliant people. Advancement is possible with some time and effort. and the job culture is there. There is people that have been there that knows allot about the company and the history of the company is interesting but a tough one in the recent years. 

overall if you need a job go for it but dont stay make it temporary.. i learned so many things with them.. on my own most of the time because training was abysmal. BUT with effort the information is around you. 

A typical day involved analysing various G&A issues senior management may have in efficiently running the business. Became a better team player and worked closely with other departments.

The culture is very friendly and collaborative with a lot of emphasis on team building and group activities. Work diligently and have fun while getting the job done.

Certain processes could have been automated but wasn't which is unfortunate but it is what it is.

I particularly liked filing the commodity taxes and representing the company at the CRA.

Fast pace environment from start of your shift to the end. Learned and gained the know how dealing with activations of local phone, internet DSL products from order entry to completion of order. Management flexible supportive. Workplace culture fosters a good team spirit with open door policy. Hardest part of the job was not to be just an average company but to drive profit share in a competitive market.. Most enjoyable part of the job was taking on new tasks procedures and stream lining a process to meet departmental objectives.

Customer service / sales representative - Primus Canada Feb 2014 - Present

• Sell Costco Executive members high-speed internet, home phone and long distance bundles
• Provide exceptional customer service when dealing with complaints, returns and enquiries
• Ensure all contracts are filled correctly and keep audit trail of customer documents
• Exceed weekly targets by 18% and sell 20 contracts valued $1800 per week
• Honored with "Star team player of the month " for exceeding sales target by 23% in May 2014
• Maintain good relationship with managers and work in a team to ensure all sales targets are achieved

I used to work there as technical support, employer are very flexible, calls volume are not high because they have a lot of employees to take calls, good leadrship, coffee is free, good teamwork, trainer is great, wage is ok for the work you have to do, there are place gives you more wage but very heavy work youhave to for them in return (80 calls/day per ex) but at primus, it s not like that, wage and work are equal...so yeah if you want start somewhere you can try that place, you won't regret.

Within this job I learned a lot of communication skills the job was customer service taking and making calls to customers, answering billing questions to applying credit or adjustments, and general questions regarding there account or accounts.

-Adding features removing features.

Everyday was something new. Daily new Special pricing requests from the corporate sales teams kept me on my toes. I learned to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast paced environment.
The hardest part of my job was was to find and contact outside suppliers to confirm there services. I enjoyed that everyday was something to to learn about the telecome industry

Primus is a good Telecom company to work for. They are willing to train you on your weaknesses and help you through any issues you are unsure of. The only issue with Primus is the work life balance. This is not something they observe. They are more focused on KPI's than the employee

Enjoyable work place, with hardworking dedicated employees. I have learned so much in my 15 years here at Primus. I thoroughly enjoy the investigative part of my job and have increased my knowledge of credit adjudication

I worked at Primus 08 though 2013 so not sure on the relevance now. I found it to be exciting, collaborative and enjoyable. I heard that they have scaled back considerably, its a shame as I believe they were tracking very well...
