Good place to work . There are changes happening due to huge growth of the company. Sometimes the old boys club is in office , which makes it hard , but for the most part if you keep your head tucked and do your job , you'll be fine. There were alot of nervous women in the office during the changes, and more transparacy would have quelled their discomfort. Employees are well paid for their service and also have benifits and RRSPS.

 The field crews look out for each other. Good safety culture when I worked there.

If your looking to be endentured its not bad , theres little to no job security though . Occasionally your crew might be alright but chances are someone will throw you under the bus to save themselves. Very two faced when it comes to your foremans and supervisors. Breaks are nearly non existent and when you do get them they count the secounds. No consideration when there placing you either.  Could be 5 sites within spitting distance of your house and theyll send you as far away as possible.

Bad place to start off as a newb. Worked 9 hour days with one 15 min break which as far as I know is Illegal. 
Expect to Just do hard labor work if you have no plumbing skills .  If you don’t have skills you will be treated Horribly. The journeyman will treat you so bad In front of other people and trades that you won’t want to be there.  When one of the owners or higher ups come in they’ll throw you under the bus.  
My option is stay away if you want to keep your  dignity !

They hire a ton of people expecting there will be work. When the work doesn’t come because they lost the bid or another reason they lay them all off. If you are looking to work here ask questions during your interview and make sure they are actually serious about apprenticing you.

Great owners and great employees. Grow your profession with this company. Great support for field staff . Everyone is set up for success . I believe that the owners and their upper management believe in safety and that is how good company culture is established . Productive and safe ! 

Your just a number unless you have a boiler or welder ticket you are treated like trash.
They tell us to dig during winter the ground is frozen all the foreman do is shout at you. They get young 18 year old to do their grunt work then lay them off.

My typical day at priority would consist of assisting journeymen as they planned and put up pipe in commercial construction buildings and learning the trade as I went.

The job itself is overall wonderful, and pretty easy. The only problem is no breaks, and no one willing to cover another person position.

Decent place to become indentured. Opportunity to work on large scale projects. Hard work, sometimes long hours, pay is average. Many people get laid off once going to school.
