Meet with supervisor and crew coming off shift and discuss previous shift. Set up line up for on coming shift. meet with on coming shift for safety meeting, discuss line up with supervisor. meet with mechanical supervisor and discuss equipment and prioritize repairs. Talk with management discuss scheduling. Do my rounds at the mine chat with workers and inspect work places. get line up ready for on coming crew. Safety and production go hand in hand without safety there is no production. Management was always good to get along with. work place culture was always encouraged by management. the hardest part was to get management the client and workers on the same page. the most enjoyable part was to finish a contract with a perfect safety record and targets and schedules met.

In general I had a positive experience working with Procon.  Their implementation of flexible hybrid work arrangements has been a game-changer for me, providing the perfect balance between remote work and in-person collaboration. The company also values their employees by offering fair salaries, ensuring that hard work is recognized and rewarded. The management team deserves applause for their supportive and approachable nature, creating a positive work environment where ideas are valued and growth is encouraged. While there may be some areas lacking structure, it serves as an opportunity for employees to take initiative and contribute to the company's overall development. Overall, I have a positive concept for this company

What is the best part of working at the company?
Procon Mining is a great company to invest your time with.  Treated me very well.  I would work with them again in the future.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Long travel days on an ice road that was very rough and hard on the body 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Safety culture is very impressive and outlined for dangers of the job.  The life saving absolutes are very well though out 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start early end late.  Lots of different cultures are on the site.  Many different people with different opinions and you pick the best ones for the task

Procon has a safety first culture, with a good hard working attitude. Procon has a very diverse range of mining equipment, there is always something new to learn and keep you interested in your job. I worked in the main rebuild shop in Nisku as well I went to numerous mine sites to relieve mechanics for holidays and to assist with rebuilds,  repairs and set up new equipment. I have made some life long friends with the people I met working there.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing work enviroment was toxic and too controlling and micromanaging

Supervisor and coworker was toxic and made the environment more stressful to work

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Been micromanaged do this and that have you done this why haven’t you done this task why did you cc this email to so and so

worked minimum 10 hr days. worked on underground mining equipment; hydraulics, component replacement, overhauls, PDI new equipment. had some opportunity to go to site and work for a couple weeks at a time, with expenses paid. getting parts at a timely manner and ridiculous timelines to get certain projects done were some of the more stressful parts of the job. Safety culture is important, but some of it is overkill. decent crew to work with. some management staff are newer and were looking to make changes, took advantage of Covid-19 situation.

Management is understanding,flexable,very knowledgable and a strong sense of direction and deadlines.
Coworkers are caring and open to sharing knowledge and experience.
The hardest part of the job in isolated areas is waiting for materials or tooling do to logistics and transportation.
The enjoyable part is having everything you need to perform and do your work.

Procon  is a good place to work.. The layoff is the reason I will be looking for other work.  My work day was a good day to work with other employees to get our job accomplished.  I taught some of the new co-worker how to do their jobs properly and be an asset to our company.  I worked with management and engineers to do what was expected of me.  A great part of my job was seeing the blast off and knowing it was a job well done.

Greatful for the company helping me get my ticket, but it has always been a challenge to advance. If youre not from the east coast, youre likely not going to get as much room to grow. Pretty sad when youre working on your own stomping grounds! 
The pay is decent, but could be better as I see other places paying more.
There are some great co-workers, and some not so great.

Great crew morale. Excellent management , lots of opportunity to learn and advance your career.
I’ve enjoyed my 7 years with Procon on several different job sites. Very accommodating when it comes to flights and travel. The only negative aspect I can think of would be that the old superintendents are all slowly moving on and the replacements are very inexperienced and have drastically decreased team morale.
