A typical day was putting produce on a shelf just to take it off and put more on underneath. Tedious and very boring. 

I didn't learn anything as I already had 8 years experiences, although the supervisors in charge didn't care as there is the produce depot way to do things. That's understandable, although it seemed it was just making work for no reason other than to look busy.  The hardest part of the job was dealing with bizarre micromanaging practices from supervisors and never dealing with actual managers. 

Enjoyable ? It may have been more enjoyable if we were able to talk to coworkers once in awhile. The favorites were able to go on extended breaks whenever they wanted because of seniority. 

I got fired or laid off over the phone which is a first no apparent reason when I asked. Very odd store, so obviously I can't recommend from personal experience working here. 

- Fulltime staff receive no health benefits.
- Overtime pay and hours are accumulated on following paycheque and not paid out at a time and a half rate.
- Company consistently undervalues prexistig staff to save costs.
- Company has let staff go with then intention of providing certain reasoning to avoid having to pay severence.
- Standard is minimum wage.
- Hours are inconsistent.
- Departments are not equally balanced in terms of number of staff and experiance.
- Some staff lack enough proper communication skills in English to help customer successfully.

I think it's funny there's a job posting for a part-time butcher with 3 years experiance when they had a fulltime butcher who had been train by the company, but let them go.

I had fun working in Produce Depot. I had a understanding,generous, and nice Employer. I love working with my co-workers. they are friendly and understanding. I learned many things in my department like: cutting different kinds of cheese,organize some stuffs, shipping receiver,inventory,checking dates of the products, cleaning. I'm not sure if there's a hardest part of this job. the most enjoyable part of the job is working with nice and understanding people around you.
I just wanted to be full-time there but my manager told me that "I'm the only one who is full-time here". I just have like 31-35 hours per week and my hours is different every week. Sometimes I have 31, 32 or 35 hours per week,

It’s an okay second job if you work somewhere else or if it’s your first job and want work experience. Co workers are generally nice, if you want to be left alone and not socialize you’ll be left alone no problem. Just not much in terms of growth in positions or learning new things 

As my first job, it was a great experience. Co-workers were lovely, very friendly, and helpful. Management was fair. I was given good hours per week and more right away when asked for. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting new people, employee wise and customer wise. A typical day at work was usually a good day, get my task as a cashier done and leave with a smile on my face.

A typical day at work would be putting grocery baskets back and putting shopping carts back. I learned patience. Management and co workers were great because they were always freindlt, postitve and ery understanding. There wasnt any hard parts of doing thi job. The most enjoyable part of the job was doing the baskets and carts.

Really easy job as long as you do what you're told to do and don't call in sick.

No benefits.
No raises despite your hard work unless you're manager.
No employee meetings to raise concerns with management and owner.

Some employees will talk behind your back to give you a bad image.

Opening and closing shifts can be draining.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Staff are easy-going and are fun to chat with.

It's a good local business but as an employee, you get no job benefits and might get fired at any point. You'll get paid minimum wage and wouldn't get a raise no matter how hard you work or how much value you provide. I will definitely leave the moment I get another job offer.
