Shift started with staff meeting where supervisor informed us about our daily targets and what will we be doing for the shift to meet the targets individually or as in teams.I learned about different types of internet modems and IPTV boxes refurbishment services. I was trained in flashing, testing and scanning all the merchandise. 

Management was not that helpful as they changed our shifts frequently and didn't provide enough hours. No benefits for five years and even after that senior employees will be given full time opportunities before you. Supervisor didn't always knew who should be doing what and provided us with not enough products on time to finish the targets. 

Workplace environment was not professional because there was favoritism within employees and supervisors. Team leaders cared more about their own work than to to provide work for the team so they can meet their daily targets.
I didn't enjoy working for this company as environment is not healthy because people are fighting over carts, chairs and clashing over job duties. Lunchroom etiquette was not very welcoming because senior employees had assigned tables so new employees felt left out as they eat their food in their cars or locker rooms.

Progistix Solutions was actually a division of Bell Canada that was sold, the work there consisted of mainly servicing Bell Canada techniciens .
The management at Progistix were pretty good, since we were a small company we were very comfortable with them, the head office was located in Toronto therefore upper management were not on site at all times but they were accessable to us,
I had some great co workers at Progistix, some of whom I worked with at Bell for over 20 years,
The most difficult part of the job was the frustration of having techs complain about back orders when the reality was that we managed the material for Bell Canada and the replenishment of the material was done by Bell but the tech did not understand this so it appeared to them that we were not doing a good job.
The most enjoyable part of the job was the people that I worked with, some were like family, I started at Bell at the age of 17 along with many others,we went to each others weddings, shared the joy of our children being born and also sharing the loss of parents and other loved ones, we were so much like a family.

A typical work day is very busy. You have to process goods to meet certain time schedule for a full eight hours; no time for washrooms which are monitored; cannot get break on time, trying your best  and get no 'thank you'; sometimes no help. I learnt nothing new,. I knew everything from White Rose Crafts and Nursery before  joining Progistix. Upper management in somewhat shrewd and pushes the middle management to get the work done. they do not know hoe to address workers and so lots of grievances are going to the union. There is multiculturalism (approx 26). The hardest part of the job is lifting when the load is heavy. The most enjoyable part of the job is that when it is not bulky it is easily processed and lifted and movement is fast and could be processed on time.

strict deadlines, that are obtainable if management did their job. (ordering inventory) we would run out of inventory constantly and management would blame the front line workers for not shipping the orders. (hello we cant ship what we don't have) The warehouse manager was responsible for using the SAP inventory levels to reorder what we were running out of but never did his job so our boss would always be angry that we missed deadlines. The CEO came and gave us a talk about company direction. He kinda misread the room talking about how much growth they were having and all the money "we" were making. almost all employees are Permanent PART-TIME that work 40 hours a week. (so they don't have to pay benefits) 

Productive and fun workplace with no pressure of the tasks assisgned , helps us to accomplish the work within a given time frame.
Worked freely without any biasedness & favoritism
Always given due respect to co-workers and senior managers
Co-ordination is the key factor for both co-workers and therefore every one works with ease & as such work tough work also looks simplified.

Since no undue pressure there is no hardest part of the job for me and for me each day is enjoyable in this company

This company was all about making employees to succeed in their work.
During my tenure, the companies vision and mission were well guarded by the CEO and president. The objectives were solid and strategies were improve as the tasks unfolded. There was an environment of trust and progress in every aspect of employees life.
Great value given to employees education and advancement, while keeping a work/life balance.

Overall, the job is alright, training is provided (and paid for in the case of learning forklifts) and there many opportunities to move up. There is plenty of work available and good overtime opportunities if you want. However, the warehouse is overcrowded with pallets which during peak season can be a nightmare to navigate and deal with. Pay is below average compared to other picking and forklift jobs. Efficiency of operations and processes is lacking which can lead to frustration and redundant tasks. 

Very terrible...period. Everyone on the floor makes the same wage but only certain people actually work for it and have to pick up the slack of others to meet daily deadlines. Management sits, watches and does nothing to enforce proper balance of workload among employees which also cause rifts internally between coworkers that could easily be prevented if management did their jobs. Oh and you don't get any sick/vacation/paid leave of any sorts for the whole first year, which is completely unrealistic.

- operation managers don't care about employees they only want you to work based on their required productivity which is impossible to do
- scare tactics run the company, they are a union but are afraid to fight for their rights 
- workplace culture is not good as well they want you to work like a robot
- managers doesn't care about your rights and request (if you wanted to move to a different workplace due to associates complaining all the time)
