Started out good with a really good atmosphere and everyone pulling in the same direction to accomplish corporate goals. A change of CEO leads to changing out the entire senior management group which completely changed the corporate culture. Gone were the days of open discussion and debate about projects. Changes in staff were made for the sake of change and not communicated very well to existing staff.

Petronas bought this company and since then they have made it difficult for them to know exactly what is going on. 
Managers refused to implement Petronas system because that will give them access to their operations which was mostly a managers partying hard every chance they could. 
Culture was non existence. HR wanted to run the business. They were in control of the company. If you speak up you are gone.

The leaders I've worked with directly and indirectly have been professional and respectful despite our differences in rank. It is a very safe place to work in and they always put the needs and safety of the employees first. Great benefits program as well.

Highly engineer driven. Lots of input from Petronas in Malaysia. Human Resources has a growing involvement. Easy to balance work and life. Flexible hours. Limited in growth opportunities.

Typical day at work is driving an hour and a half to my field that consists of 28 pump jacks and 3 small battery sites, I check Scada first thing in the am and see if anything out of the ordinary is happening and then head out to trouble shoot

Day started at 07:00 and ended at 16:30. Was on call on a 24 hour basis in overseeing the drilling of horizontal gas wells. Management was OK, co-workers were excellent. Overall a good place to work.

Progress has been taken over by Petronas, (Malasia) Since the take over it has been a difficult environment to work in and therefore mutually left the company to pursue other opportunities

High stress environment due to the company culture at the time although this may have changed since the "restructuring".  Salary and benefits were competitive with other companies of similar size.

Direct manager was an insecure individual who didn't like to teach anyone else for fear of losing her job.  Upper management liked to place blame in order to get it off their shoulders, no support

This company was undergoing rapid growth and with that came constant changes in management style and processes.
