Property Maintenance

I was hired on as a crew leader in the Enhancements & Extras division. There were only 2 workers in that division when I was hired at the start of season. They hired 1 other labourer the whole season. Projects were things like pot hole repairs and some minor planting and mulching. Was required to maintain two properties half way through the season. Was required to weed garden beds at business centres. Was required to do many things that were not ever discussed prior to employment or even during. No one there is treated as an individual. You are just a body there to work. Daily tasks were often not given directly to me, making it difficult to prepare for anything. No one that works there is happy, so workplace atmosphere is negative on a daily basis. Put my 2 weeks in with a letter explaining the reasons why, which are also stated here. They just accepted my resignation effective immediately as soon as I sent the letter. This is a company that does not care about you.

They have worked hard to build a positive atmosphere where employees are encouraged to be the best they can be and supported as they learn and grow. It's easy to grow and move up in the company if you have the drive and willingness to learn. There are a few people willing to mentor and teach you just about anything related to the job, whether it be skills in the field, leadership, communication, etc.
At times there can be a small disconnect and lack of on-site engagement between certain members of management and the field staff, which can make it difficult to understand the expectations. Sometimes underperformance in employees is not properly addressed and it leads to a lack of productivity and frustration from other employees.
Like any company, there's pros and cons, but ultimately the ones who work hard and are consistent will thrive and grow here.

Management is not to be trusted and honesty make the rules as they go , play employees against each other making for a toxic environment.  If you are not experienced and are hired dont think you will get the training they promise its more of a sink or swim learning experience. Well working for the company I learned that alot staff were very unhappy and was seen in work ethic and heard in conversations.  These conversations were results of unfair treatment by management , favoritism and not getting the promised wages. This showed in the revolving door not many stayed. 
After many thoughts and seeing the things I did in my short time with All terrain it was written all the wall that if i did not leave on my own that this company would be problematic and not what I wanted to come to every day. 


I had a great experience working at All Terrain Properties Maintenance. The team was professional, dedicated, and always ready to support one another. The management fostered a positive work environment where hard work and reliability were truly appreciated. I gained valuable skills and enjoyed being part of a company that takes pride in quality service and customer satisfaction. It was a pleasure to contribute to such a well-run and forward-thinking organization.

A typical day starts and ends with trailer/equipment inspection, getting every tools we would need for the day, crew lead getting a game plan from the operations manager,  drive time to site, getting the job, get complaints from customers/relaying issues to the O.M, site clean up, we head back for the day to companies site  and make sure every equipment is ready for the next day.

learnt alot/everything from the first crew I got paired with from trimming to edging to mowing etc.

Most enjoyable part; Being in sync with the crew. 

This is a fantastic company to work for! I really enjoyed & am grateful for my time spent at All Terrain Property Maintenance Inc. 

If I were to suggest anything to make the company better, it would be:
• Clearer communication between supervisors & crew leads regarding to daily tasks + site requests.
• More frequent preventative maintenance for the small engine equipment. 
• More one-on-one training for newly hired members to make their transition into their new job go smoothly. 

I've only worked the winter contracts as an operator for snow removal but I've had no complaints since my employment with All Terrain. The management staff is professional, supportive and reliable with any issues or concerns regarding the job. Even as an experienced snow removal operator, ive since learned new skills since working for the company. My hours are based on snowfall, so I don't work fulltime hours, but when there is snow, there is plenty of work to be had. Overall, I'd highly recommend All Terrain.

Hours are great if you like 50+a week

Brand new no experience workers thst don’t listen to directions

I just keep my head down show up everyday and do my job 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Never know as their are a lot of absent employees every day

I highly enjoyed my time working for this company. The owners and management treated me fantastic and I truly felt like a valued member of their team. They were always very accommodating with personal time off if my kids were sick. It was a great work culture with the ability to joke around and have fun while also being productive. I would absolutely work for this company again!
