Protel Industries Ltd.? If I could give them zero stars, I would! This place is a comedy circus where everyone thinks they're the boss, but no one has a clue what's going on. They keep you in the dark like a mushroom farmer—zero transparency.

All they've got is drop work, not the real deal they promise you during hiring. They'll sweet-talk you into joining, but all you'll end up with is regret and a severe case of wasted time.

And don't get me started on management—they're a bunch of big-time liars who care more about threats than actual leadership. Working here is like being stuck in a bad sitcom episode.

They pay peanuts for back-breaking drop work, leaving you with less than minimum wage and zero job security. And their 'two-month training'? A joke. They stretch it out longer than a yoga class in slow motion. You could learn the job in a weekend, but they drag it out longer than the turtle crossing a finish line 

Don't trust a word they say—they change their tune more often than a kid changes outfits. Seriously, if you're jobless, it's better to chill and wait for a real opportunity somewhere else. Don't waste your precious time in this circus act.

I regret to say that my experience was disappointing. Despite initial enthusiasm, I faced numerous issues, including:

- Poor management and lack of resources
- Unfulfilled promises, including delayed training (waited 3 months)
- Excessive focus on drop jobs and no training
- Frequent threats of termination for minor reasons during the training. I can imagine what would be if I started as contractor
- No training programs 
- No benefits or secure positions. 

After three months waiting for IR training, I realized my mistake and moved to  alternative job.

I hope the company can improve its environment and deliver on its promises.

I've lived in Vancouver my whole life and in the time I spent with Protel I saw more of BC then in all the time before. The job is super flexible, my work/life balance was great, being able to choose to work weekends one week, to having them free the next. The work can be challenging, as all work can, but I really think the upsides heavily outweighed any downsides. Would be happy to work with them again.

Driving a minimum of 5 hours a day. No gas reimbursements. High mileage on you vehicle. Work is very easy to do. Complete lack of communication from any leadership. Only time you hear from them is when they tell you the same day you are being go with no reason. 

Don’t trust them….They are very nice during the interview!But if you start as a contractor very careful for their payment.They don’t pay on time! 2 weeks you should wait for last 2 weeks payment you worked! But the important thing is about your job hours .Very carful maybe you find they didn’t account your compeleted jobs.There is one person as a manger ….Rude….lier…

Worked for Protel for about a year, during this time I had steady consistent work. The job comes with a lot of driving, which as far as I'm concerned is a plus, but can be offputting for some. I was almost sad to leave, but had to move on. Overall, a mostly positive experience. Would be happy to come back to work for them in the future. :)

they are subcontractor, not the main contractor, with low pay, and more hours to work, they ask you to run drops for them in the name of training. they always threaten to kick you out. I paid more on gas and their fees than what I have received from them. 

I signed on as a Technician just for a few months to make some money and it was a great choice, training was straight forward and taught me a bunch about telecom. Now whenever my family has tech trouble they all call me. 

Overall great job, make good money doing something pretty easy, alot of driving which can be a negative or positive. Would recomend to anyone who has technical skills and a white van to use.

I loved the team I worked with, a bunch of people who just got along really well, made it super easy to ask for help when I needed it. Whether from my co-workers or my managers someone was always there to lend an ear and help me out.
