What is the best part of working at the company?
Modern facility, located on beautiful property on Lake Ontario in Kingston. 
Friendly staff. 


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Something I feel is not perfect is their parking. 
Often the gates cause problems. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
We are able to get a break and lunch. Our work environment is clean. I feel they want their staff to be happy. They have small events to appreciate work done. 
These are more stressful times with the implementation of Lumeo. 
There was not enough training to all staff, there were a small number that were better trained before go live. 
Staff are expected to learn as they function in their daily operations. 


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
We say good morning to each other.
 We determine the requirements of the day and figure out our staff compliment to accomplish it. 
Sometimes some rotations are heavier than another, and we support each other on getting out on time.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The hospital has a Clean working environment 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Ongoing changes in staffing methods and not listening to on the floor staff requests ie. time off

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment can be stressful when staffing levels are low and with cut backs it will pose more dangerous situations overall with lack of help on the units

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
All units of the hospital are very busy

Management is meh, union is just as meh, although the pay is good and so are the workers. As part of the nursing staff, there is no consitency in hours per week worked. So this means that one pay you can be fulltime hours scheduled, next pay you could only be scheduled one shift (whether it be 4h, 8h, or 12h) with no call ins to pick up, which does not work with life! Some of the finest nursing staff i have ever worked with are here unfortunately management is not that great, which puts a damper on stuff.

I had an incredible experiencing working at providence care. The facility itself is amazing. The staff are very supportive, friendly, and collaborative. Management is encouraging and supportive. Everyone working there embodies the mission, vision, and values of providence care daily and encourages it in each other as co workers. I enjoyed my experience greatly and would love the opportunity to work at providence care in the future

Excellent pay.  A lot of shift work with 4,8 and 12 hour shifts.  The orientation is excellent with 2 full weeks.  Most staff were very welcoming and helpful. Great team environment.  
However, they can cancel your shifts, so hours are not garanteed if your permanent part time. They float you to different units if other units are short and even fill in for positions you weren’t hired for like a unit aid (PSW) if they are short.  


Great working environment. Very friendly and supportive. Management are very supportive.  Location is beautiful.  Following the Mission statement is important.  They treat patients and clients like family

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes extremely busy but always satisfying . The beautiful environment helps!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Caring culture. Beautiful building right on the lake.

Great place to work. Very supportive team and tons of opportunities to grow professionally (seminars, workshops, etc.). Good diversity in patient caseloads. Depending on where you are located (hospital, community, rehab, etc.) caseloads vary and can be somewhat overwhelming to start.

Clean, bright and new. The hospital is full of new technology and has lots of big windows for lots of natural light.

I love being part of a highly skilled team that works well together to help people get well mentally and physically.

If you enjoy working as a team member and are flexible and have a caring attitude for patients, you will feel good at a end of your day's work. Do your best, give your best!
