Decent work, only chosen people were given the preferred positions. holidays and hours were good, good pension plan, the management were not for the people they did not foster a positive work environment. The nepotism and cronyism were rampant in this particular facility, if you were a pipe line to the managers you were guaranteed a promotion. Nothing but a good old boys club ruthless abuse of people with ethics and morals that had the audacity to speak out then you were targeted for a rough time.

A typical day at work for me consisted of photocopying files in which needed to be converted to computer versions. I worked under/with an amazing group of people, who taught me valuable lessons about what it's like to work in a professional work environment. The most challenging aspect of my work was staying focused/interested while often completing the same tasks for hours on end, tasks of which I did not particularly enjoy. The most rewarding part of my job was learning what it will be like to work in a professional office position.

This position required very good mental health and ability to keep it that way.  Job was very demanding due to shortage of workers, high caseloads and little support.  Very rewarding in terms of relationships maintained with clients and ability through problem-solving and referrals to assist clients with life changes.  High degree of counselling involved.

The ministry job was fast paced, lots of computer work, I learned to be empathetic to the underprivileged and disabled clients. the hardest part of the job is finding out someone in your workplace has passed away. management is good and understanding and hands on. The most enjoyable part of the job is the team work.

Assessed loans all day.Learned very intricate details of Federal and Provincial Loan criteria.With management and co-workers, you work well with some.Learning the Loans Program was the most difficult. Trying to beat your own production rate was the most enjoyable.

Great place to work each day is different. Travel to parts of the Province seldom seen by others and worked in the most remote parts of Ontario with some very interesting people.

The most enjoyable part of working for the provincial and federal government was engaging with the community.    Meeting new challenges and learning new skills and procedures.

This was my first 3rd party collection's job.
This was an excellent learning curve for me going from customer service and telemarketing into the collections and litigation field.

Keep busy, and enjoy being with people.  Help staff when need help.  Like to be able to pick times I can work if it is evening or days.  The yards part is having to say no when you would like to help but can not do it in time frame
