Find another agency to apply to if you’re considering working as a Home Support Worker. Overall, my experience with this company wasn’t nice. The clients made this job worth staying as long as I did, but management and client care coordinators made it extremely difficult to be happy in the work place. You will never be shown appreciation or encouragement for the work and dedication you provide to your clients and the company. Communication between management to both clients and workers is awful. I absolutely loved providing care and compassion to clients and their family’s, and will forever be thankful for the connections I made throughout my time as a home support worker. But I would NEVER recommend working for this agency, ever. You will most definitely be overworked, under appreciated and looked down upon by management. You will be thrown into very challenging situations with 0 training and very little information on the client and their current situation. Management tends to withhold very important information about clients history and needs just to be sure they get coverage for very complex clients. Think twice before applying to this agency. 

while the job itself was good, i chose my hours, my clients, my outfits (besides a minor dress code), and i got the time off when i asked for it, but honestly the office staff isn’t great. they constantly guilt me into shifts when they know i’m not comfortable with certain clients, they always post up that they’re hiring but can’t even give me the hours i need. when i was hired i was told i’d receive 35-40 hours a week, i only get around 30 hours on a 2 week paycheque, which isn’t enough to pay my rent, my car insurance, dog expenses, gas and groceries. the pay is nice though. but while the job isn’t super physically hard, it’s very mentally hard. my mental health is deteriorating every day i work, even though i love my clients (usually) it’s still very mentally draining. constantly worrying about your clients health and their needs that you tend to forget about your own needs and your own health and mental health.

Not for the weak. Some clients can be extremely difficult. Some office staff as well. 
This is a company that is unionized so if any issues don't hesitate to call the union.  As an employee, it's taken forever for me to have a steady client... as I am and was always being contacted for call ins and to fill other people's shifts. I received requests to fill shifts as early as 4am for the upcoming day. 
Some of the office staff are sweet as pie & others give me anxiety by the time we get off the phone. I find alot of employees are in homcare for the pay, I find myself usually picking up the slack of other workers who choose to sit eat, and watch their phones on their shift. Working towards your clients needs are not enforced enough in my opinion and some of the clients are not receiving the best of care because of this. Stressful job... & company. Communication skills are not always practiced.

The client and some of the Home support staff.  Being able to communicate and provide support for each client

The amount of people who don’t have the compassion and empathy for the people they are supposed to serve

Awful  this company is all about money and not about compassion.  They will take on clients not being able to supply them with home support needs and then have them pay for services not being provided

Stressful not being able to do your job because you don’t have enough workers to fill the positions

The HR of this agency is an extremely unprofessional, rude and ill mannered person. She even doesn’t know what includes in her job . She treats the workers as trash. I highly recommend to avoid this agency unless they get another HR .

The behaviour of the management is very poor. They claim them a caregiving company but they don’t have any empathy for the workers.

Very poor work environment. No respect gor the workers.

No two days are the same. either quiet or busy

Ridiculously low pay for what is expected, unionized with no benefits, The company will burn you out. Grossly understaffed so the few who show up are over worked. The office staff are terrible, they don't communicate so there are constant mix ups and shifts not filled, they can be really rude on the phone & will try and guilt you into working. There's no training provided from the company. It's a really difficult job with a high turn over.  

I have dedicated (unfortunately) years of my life to this company. They have absolutely played with more than my time and effort, rather my soul. 

They have wasted my work ethic and turned me into a shell of a hardworker. 

Waste of a company run by money hungry wasteful people. 

I am a client care co-ordinator. A lot is expected of me as an employee. The workload is very, very stressful. The management are not in tune with the needs of their employees nor do they treat their employees very well. It is a privately owned business. I would rather find other employee where I am treated with respect and valued as an employee.

Enjoy my work and my clients. Have nothing but trouble with any office worker I’ve had to speak to. Schedule constantly changing on you, most times without warning. No “seniority” perks - if new staff comes in they will do anything to please/keep them, including throwing old employees schedules out the window. Some people get what they want, others get told to put up with it. No reason to it.
