As my husband and I worked as hard as we can and offer the best of our ability, but there are times also that we cannot please everybody. Learned by the experienced we got for everyday dealing with different kinds of culture and since Canada is a mixed and diverse  environment, we already adapt the workplace culture as most of the staff with the same origin and hard workers, the team work makes the life easy .
I can relate to the hardest part that we staff usually experienced is that tenants have different sense of belonging in the new country that they are now. Culture shock seems the culprit when it comes to hardest  part of our job, as tenants will pertain to us as the cleaner only of the building even we are the Resident Managers.
But of course, I will add on the most enjoyable part of being the Resident Managers of the building, we developed a lot of experience and all the compensation, the rewards and the benefits is ultimately great for us. And for this, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Q Residential, the higher ups, for the great opportunity to work and share all the best of our ability and will cherished every party and gatherings we had. As a Resident Manager, if you follow the policies and the rules, scheduled reporting times, etc - you will do great here. Q Residential makes it simple to run your building with the policies and standards they have set in place. The job can be difficult but if you schedule your day properly, you should be able to get all your work done in time.  If you need assistance from upper management, they are readily available to help. If a situation arises and you're not sure what to do, it's best to also communicate with the other Resident Managers for advice and assistance. 

Its a good place to work. 

When i started i was fed all sorts on how the company is a family. Yes the heads of the company are great and you get benefits which help they do take their employees out if performance is good but thats about it. Barely any training the site management had their pets and and would bend over backwards for ONLY certain colleagues. There was absolutely no communication between colleagues, full of high school drama and backstabbing. The pay you get for the work, and abuse you recieve from tenants is appaulling. Also they like to think they have an open door policy but that open door is locked unless you are a favour of the month.

Most days you would clean the lobbies, each floor and empty trash chutes.
Then move on to appartment repair work orders. Doing repairs did give me an opportunity to practice and learn with basic drywall and plumbing and electrical. Management are nice but opportunity for advancement is slow.
Hardest part of the job is the work/life balance. This job can take over your life with on call needing to be on premises during some off hours and snow removal & salting. The best part of the job has to be what it can teach you.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Easy cooperation and relationship with the building manager who trusted me to work independently.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I can’t recall any stressful situation.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Relaxed and friendly, however the management is different now. My experience might be irrelevant 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I was responsible for cleaning of the building as well as the outside. I helped to organize and maintain the supply rooms.

A typical day for me can range from slow paced and very structured to fast paced requiring making adjustments on the fly. Property management can be very challenging but Q provides us with good support and training. There's always opportunities to learn new things and room for advancement. The job is never boring or the same from day to day. Some days can be very long however especially when suites need to be turned over.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Very bad management, employees are treated like slaves and no respect at all.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They are spying on the workers and if you don’t obey them they fire you then and there,

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is terrible and there is no culture at all 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not pleasant at all, you feel like why you have taken this job here.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The bonuses and flexibility they make you assume you will get.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being asked to do jobs clearly out of your pay grade.

Seemed good. Until you get a better look at the inner workings and how they bluff alot of the job responsibilities 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Overworked, underpaid, to much pressure from management for the money.

I loved my job which was very fast paced and to my liking. If it wasn't for District Manager lack of interest in our health and safety would probably still work there. Nurse Ratched cared more about the negative rating from the prospective resident than if they were a proper resident for the complex. It is nice that they are inclusive regardless of race or religion but at times the fine line has to drawn to protect employees from aggressive tenants who create violence on the job.
