I am a self-motivated and hard working professional cladder – insulator.  I am particularly experienced with the installation of cladding and insulation on pipe lines, storage tanks . 

I am hard working and very detail oriented. I am able to use my own initiative and I work well as part of a team. I have good problem solving and analytical skills. I have a well rounded building background after working for over 25 years in all aspects of residential and commercial construction. I am comfortable working in areas that I have prior experience, however I am also competent and willing to working in new positions.

I got along with everyone at the company. The reasons why I’m no longer working for them is because at the time we parted I was going through a very messy divorce & the stress it caused started to effect my performance on the job & I was no longer able to work for them or anybody for that matter. That was over ten years ago & lots has changed for the better at QSI & in my life as well. I would consider working for them in the future if the opportunity was to ever present itself.

*Typical day at work for me was walking around on stilts or in a powered lift installing ceilings for 9 hr's.
*I learned the Trade of ISM as well as how to better work as/with a team.
*Management has a good core with some room for improvement.
*Workplace culture is overall good.
*Hardest part of the job would have the be the 44hr work week over a 40, extra hr a day for 4 days in the summers esp sucks.
*Most enjoyable part of the job would be looking at what has been completed once the job is at an end.

I loved my experience at QSI, good people. Overtime when you want it. LOA if you’re willing to go out of town. Not a place to work if you want to slack off. I recommend it to anyone in shape who can do a bit of lifting. You get used to the physical aspect of the job as long as you take care of yourself. Management is excellent. Lots of good staff. Lots of welcoming staff. Highly recommend. 

Decent pay but hours are always higher than expected. Limited time off, poor balance with homelife. There was never an exact schedule either, had to call in the mornings sometimes just to know what time to come in. Management is lacking response times and environment is pretty tense. Training is good though and so is pay so go in looking for lots of hours and a quick hire.

it was very nice to work with the construction thing a normal day of work was to enter the site pass by removing my tools talk to the foreman and ask him what area the electricians had finished to start putting the walls then it was to place the plaster and make definition to leave it ready to those of the painting

With little experience else where but having heard the horror stories of other companies in the industry I wouldn’t hang drywall anywhere else. Great pay, benefits, job security and a very tight knit work force, great co workers/foreman & journeyman. Very easy to build relationships here.

Learned lots and was enjoyable most the time got payed goof and good benefits too everyone was easy to work with and the work wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but got to learn and practice this job 

Great job, need to be able to work under pressure and a fast paced environment.
Need to take constructive criticism well.
Very physically demanding.

Plenty of room for advancement and they even pay for your schooling and some of your tools. Often travel was paid if you were out of town working and they would give you LOA.
