I think this company is good to work for if you're simply looking to put on a happy face and get your salary. But QuadReal very much represents contemporary corporate culture. Some people might like it, some might not.

I'll try to be as objective as possible because my experience, on one hand, was OK, but also the intricacies of the social culture made it a place where I didn't have much enjoyment, or "fun",  and picked up on the silent cliqueness, contempt, and subtle bully-like behavior on some individuals.

Other than that, nothing really mattered on the principle of truth and exploration of ideas/collaboration, but rather based on dominance and hierarchy, "knowing your place". So I found absolutely no ownership of my own work, but rather management would consult me about something, and because other colleagues had emotional pleas about the operation, I'd be completely disregarded from my own managers. 

My job was to have a holistic understanding of the operation and develop accordingly instead of having my manager overstep my role, listen to 10 different opinions, and try to make everyone happy.

Moreover,  HR did some spiteful action (my opinion), of something that technically "could" be done, but never really thought over if they "should" do it. Actions as such leave lasting memories.


I very much enjoy my work days starting with the boiler rooms checking boiler performance and patching the occasional pin hole leak. The one main thing I have learned here at Calgary Place Apts. is how and where to find water leaks in these old buildings of more than 600 suites and businesses. 
The hardest part of this job is trying to please all of the tenants. That is not possible but almost. Most of that is do to all the water shut downs due to water leaks. I have had to pull many toilets in the night due to brass the ring holding toilet in place is not screwed into the concrete, for me that is the hardest part of the job.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the people, both residents and employees and all the challenges that come with this business.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They wouldn’t let me do my job. Constant bombardment from HR to take this video tests and being stuck to my phone on a nationwide network. Every time I was doing a repair I would have to acknowledge because it could be my supervisor. Plus too many redundant protocols that prevented me from being efficient 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There were too many rules from head office. Again, they hired me to do a job as a two man team. A few days in my partner quit. Two days later, the person that hired me was fired. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Running around trying to do maintenance, daily logs, handling contractors, inventory. I was one guy for 250 units. Too much for one person. Then HR hounding me because things weren’t getting done.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The office location and working from home were convenient

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The lack of trust and constant supervision from both the Senior Manager of Accounts Payable and the Senior created an unnecessarily stressful work environment. Their management approach fostered a tense and highly competitive workplace culture that often felt toxic. Frequent micromanagement made day-to-day work unnecessarily stressful and difficult to navigate professionally.

On top of that, dealing with the Senior was often difficult due to a strong sense of ego, with decisions and priorities sometimes feeling driven more by personal perspective than by broader team or company goals.

Quadreal is an amazing place to work. 
I know it’s cliche when companies say “we are like a family.” However Quadreal actually makes you feel a part of something that has a purpose. 

The support from management and your team members is always available and they work hard to support you. 

There is a lot to learn in this role so I suggest taking notes and asking many questions in order to efficiently succeed. 

It is quite a busy/ fast paced environment but if you are looking for a place that rewards you in great benefits, gaining knowledge on new skills, interfacing and interacting with new people. This would be a great company to work for! 

The company is amazingly big, nice offices good benefits and pay but Worst Managers where I worked in Finance!

Some women managers  there are just bad! they discriminate people. 

I hope they will get fired or find somewhere to go and let the beautiful company excel without them.

The HR is also bad! the women managers have all powers to do everything no matter how unjust it is ! HR doesn't intervene, they would just say " we're sorry but will take note of your feedback".

Definitely not a grate department to work in! It doesn't mean the entire company is bad or good!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Very good salary, large international company with all the benefits. Room for growth if you are prepared to travel. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with contractors who are battling to get good staff.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Excellent, but as always, this will depend on where you are and the rest of the staff.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Non stop, very busy, handling both maintenance issues and capital projects while at the same time resolving problems with janitorial and security contractors.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The culture and ethical standards are top notch. Highly recommend working here.

Every day in property management looks different. You never know what could come up. Not a negative if you thrive in that environment and standard with property management.

Radiates from the top down. I loved it.

Busy and full, challenging and rewarding.

training procedures are amazing all the time improve all areas of the company, Nice environment

Always we have really good support to manage any complaints by customers

A structured daily routine can be both comforting and enjoyable.

We fill that we altogether as a family!

We do not have any stresses but we do face challenges everyday and we take it as everyday fun! Without any challenges how could we prove ourselves.

Fantastic! So helpful, so communicative and we do work as a team.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I have emails to check, a lot of challenges and a lot of maintenance work needed to be done.
