What is the best part of working at the company?
The clients were amazing. The management staff were rude, would talk about other employees personal information if they were dealing with something and went to the manager - the manager would share that information she got in confidence with others over lunch. 

The manager and supervisors try to set you up to fail. And when you do, they punish you. I watched them do it many times to other staff and it caused a lot of workplace stress. Upper management (ceo) does nothing about it. 

The PSWs there are great and get treated poorly. They are overworked and not appreciated for all that they do. 

I would not recommend working there. Ever since I quit, I feel so much better. No more work place stress. 



What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management and the games they play. They try to get people against each other, make up lies, bash people verbally behind their back. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It felt like highschool. 

The regular nurses (not management) and psws were great. Management treated everyone else like trash. They talked down to regular staff constantly. When management made a mistake, they blamed regular nurses and wrote them up for it, even though they didn’t do anything. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Constantly looking over your shoulder thinking you did something wrong. Management constantly breathing down your back. 

Working with the other staff actually felt like a team. But everyone can’t stand the way management treats them. They avoid them like the plague.

I have had the pleasure of working at Queensview Retirement for and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I feel that the new General Manager and management team genuinely cares about both the residents and the staff, creating a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. There’s a strong emphasis on teamwork, which makes daily tasks more manageable and enjoyable. Colleagues are always willing to lend a hand or share their expertise. The residents are at the heart of everything we do. It’s incredibly rewarding to build relationships with them and witness the impact of our work on their quality of life. The activities and programs offered are diverse and engaging, and staff are encouraged to get involved and share their ideas. Overall, QV is a wonderful place to work and if you’re looking for a fulfilling job in a caring environment, I highly recommend considering a position here.

I've worked here two years and I can honestly say that since the new general manager has come in, everything and everyone seems so much brighter. There is more open and comfortable communication, more resident activities and more improvements among staff, community and building. The work place/staff community is stress free and friendly, while the residents are kind and caring as well. I applied at a young age with no prier experience and the amazing Manager of Hospitality took a chance on me and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I have truly learnt so much working here, not only as a dietary aide but also now the receptionist.  Queensview is a great place to work and  if you're looking for a job, career, or even just new experiences, consider applying to our team for a chance to be apart of such a great community.

Typical day of work is caring for the lovely residents at this establishment. I was able to learn more about health care during my time here but management made me leave. Most of the staff were lovely but the main manager was rude to both staff and residents to their face and behind their back and I couldn’t stay somewhere working under someone who believes that is okay. Pay was also terrible and never increased.

The only good things about this place are the residents. Management is very rude and disrespectful. They don’t allow flexibility in the schedule and they are very rude if you cannot come into work for a shift(call in). They treat their staff like garbage and are very selfish. They are always short staffed and don’t know how to hire enough staff. Also was paying under minimum wage. Not legal:)

Overall not a bad experience working here. Nice residents, friendly staff. Always busy so shifts go by nicely. Hours were great when I was first hired but within a few months management changed the hours and they were no longer a good fit for me so I unfortunately felt that I couldn’t stay.

I will never recommend this organisation for people they are jujgemental and they kill people morale. THey lack integrity no values.   They give less care to residents 

Some management and staffing difficulties, short staffed often
. The workers are friendly, flexible schedules. The kitchen mangement changed quite often making in difficult to recieve benefits or bank vacation pay

Manager excellent works with you and is very supportive and kind.
Staff very supporting respectful and genuinely loves residents provide exceptional care 

Typical day is fun and rewarding,  being able to actually get to know our residents and what makes them "Tick" is the best.
 Management personnel are kind and understanding.
