Quesada Burritos and Tacos

Quesada was a very good place to work. I learned a lot new things such as food safety and food freshness. Very strong managers, they were always ready to teach you something new as long as you were willing to put in the time and effort. Everything was very structured, from daily food prep lists, to daily and weekly task list which we had to complete everyday. 
A typical day would involve me setting up the front station making sure it was topped-up and clean ready for the daily customers. After the lunch rush I would then clean the front station, switch old food containers to new ones, top-up any empty meats or vegetables, wipe down tables and chairs, and sweep. After all those cleaning tasks were complete I would then move to prep. I would go through our fridges and see what we would need for the next day. After that I would begin prep, usually taking on 5-10 different things at a time. While doing prep I would also continue to help customers and make sure the store was looking it's best. 
My co-workers were amazing, we all worked as a well oiled machine. Everyone put in their best effort to make sure the store ran the way it was suppose to.  The most enjoyable part of the job for me was serving customers and prepping the product. It made the job very rewarding for me, being able to make all the food in-store and having customers talk about how good the food was, it made me want to work that much harder.

Overall Quesada was a great place to work, I enjoyed the two years I spent working there and all the things I learned, as well all the people I me.

I really liked working here! The people were always really nice and encouraging. There are two parts really - front counter and back prepping. 

If you were in the front you would pick a spot in the line and just do your work of giving people what they want. It was nice because there were always lots of people working with you so you wouldn't be as rushed and supported if need be. 

If you were in the back it was great, you would come in and look at what we had made and decide whatever you think needs to be made and make it. There were little books to look in for recipes and you would always have a partner to help you and make it go faster. 
The manager was super cool, he knew what he was doing and got everything done right but was also so nice and made you feel comfortable instead of putting on pressure or being rude or stressful. 

The only downside I guess was that there wasn't really a place to put your jacket or bag, it was just kind of in a pile by the back door. It was a small building so you cant really blame them though. 

Overall I thought it was great and would recommend. You get a free lunch throughout the day and at the end of the night you could make whatever you wanted with however much you wanted because we cant save it for the next day and its better not to waste it! Also we would play whatever music we wanted and just have a fun time while cleaning up at the end of the night.

Manager is very understanding, supportive and empathetic. Love Josie. However, boss is strict with rules and regulations. You’re good if you’re team member cause she’s in USA and won’t contact you but if you’re a leader you need to take your responsibility properly and will be inquired if anything. It’s not too much stressful if you’re fluent in French but for me it was kinda more stressful since I wasn’t that fluent in French and everyone would look down on that and customers would think I can’t understand them sometimes when all I had problem was with my French grammar. Customer are rude sometimes to people who aren’t fluent in French. Have good team collaboration as the other staff doesn’t really have that nor intiative or consideration towards each other. A lot of people just wanna have fun and take money home when they need to be working and earning it. That was so annoying. But it’s fun too. Just be chill with them and playful don’t be a strict person. But be responsible person and tell them they need to work when you have to and don’t be too lenient.

I enjoyed working with this company, it’s a family owned franchise, who make sure their employees feel welcomed, and not overwhelmed by the work tasks given. Although they do not work in the store, they are very hands on, and come in almost daily to check in with their staff, and to hear out any concerns that are made. The customers were always great, and have formed an appropriate relationship with the staff at both locations, and food and service is always given great feed back. 

Great place, great family to work for, and all around a fun experience for a job. Flexible to your schedule & needs as well!

Teammates and the quality of food served is genuine

Almost no break time and continuous work 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's pretty good. Most of the coworkers were good. Manager is good for other things but we were laid off with just 3 days no notice which was not a good experience 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Super busy , lots of work and flow of customers is pretty high too

i usually serve customer and stand on cash counter . sometimes when customers are not there i usually to make veggies, chicken , fill the toppings , make rice and beans and filled up all fridge topping for fast service , i learn so many things how to make burritos, tacos, tortilla , veggies etc. i also clean tables and wash utensils to serve food to the customers . it is very interesting job because i love to cooking

easy to learn recepies and effectively interact with customers . No interruptions and stress free job .

a typical day at work would be you go in do your shift with a couple others in the very small kitchen and service area and then if you work the closing shifts like I did we would clean make sure everything is off then set the alarms lock the doors and go home.
this company has good standards they go by as a whole but this certain location was a not fully in works with that working there was like being on gossip girls everyone talked behind everyone's back and were not the nicest after you got to know them

I love going into a work place where you know everyone and everyone gets along. I love communicating with people and making peoples day.  Hardest part of my job would have to be not getting enough hours. My manager is a great well rounded person. I am an extremely hard work and because of my hard work I have become a shift supervisor/ key holder and I open a few morning through out the week.

Fast paced during lunch and supper most days and during promotions. Slow paced and relaxed other days and during certain hours. Good time to get cleaning done and stock up. 
The job itself is great and fun. Too much drama and sometimes a negative atmosphere. Management could be improved upon.
Sometimes the afternoon can be stressful as there will be one person working the line and dealing with cash while the other person continues their prep.. all in all, a really great job.

The kindest Staff  and Owner I have ever worked for

Nothing was stressful really just hard some night to be out on time but otherwise. Great place to work
