I worked for this agency for many years. Full-time and part-time as I went through school. They support  people with different disabilities. From what I understand, they support some of the most complex people in the area.
They have a younger management team I think mostly due to the high-paced environment and stress that they face. The work is unpredictable because the people are unpredictable. They have some fantastic mangers who have been around for many years and others who come and go as they might not be as well suited for the positions. I always had good relationships with my managers and always received praise and feedback. Recently some managers left as maybe they were not a match for the job but new managers seem really kind, caring and supportive.
I met some amazing coworkers during my employment and maintain good relationships with these people. I also established some great connections with the clients I worked with and love seeing them out in the community.
Great job for me while going to school and even after I graduated from U of L. A great stepping stone and resume builder. Flexible company, positive attitudes, and really seem to put the individuals first. I recommend this place to my family and friends many who still work there.

My day to day was rather simple, the duties were to aid the clients in there day to day needs. however this became continually challenging as it was bogged down by severe lack of focus on client needs or what is best for them. rather there is a lot of focus going towards gaining new clients and keeping old clients rather then trying to aid clients in their day to day life or help them reach their goals. this was the hardest part of the job, by this i mean it was hard to watch a client directing themselves in a self destructive manor and see no response from management and to be unable to help. there was a sever lack of connection between front-line and management. The thing i most enjoyed about the job was the chance to meet so many amazing clients and people, and to get a chance to genuinely brighten my clients day on a day to day basis and help them reach there goals.

I have worked here for nearly 10 years in various positions. I have had opportunities to progress within the company while also finishing my university degree. Management has supported me my entire journey and I am now proud to be a member of this team.
Many reviews on here are written by disgruntled employees who were terminated for poor performance. This company supports nearly 200 people with disabilities and employs over 350 staff. Of course the bitter staff jump in here to tarnish the companies reputation for their poor performance.
This company goes above and beyond to provide support to people in Lethbridge. They don’t shy away from a challenge. The job can be tough but it is also very rewarding. Great team.

My typical day started off with uploading notes onto the Internet server from the Supervisors that were taken during the night from support staff of individuals. I then would proceed to answer emails, voicemails, and phone calls all through out the day. Some of my normal duties throughout the day included filing for Supervisors, and Management, answering the phone at the front desk, taking the mail to the post office daily, creating monthly newsletters, and helping to create company events (ie: helped create a Quest Carnival this summer for individuals, families, and staff members). The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to know all of the staff members! I learnt a lot about organization from this position and feel that I worked very hard at all my tasks.

A typical day at work included taking our individuals out for an evening activity, preparing their dinner as well as lunch for the next day, general cleaning and laundry, engaging the individuals in positive home activities and working to meet personal goals. Working in this environment taught me compassion and responsibility. An important part of making this workplace flow smoothly was having a good relationship with coworkers. The hardest part of this job was being able to separate home from work; not "taking the job home with me" as they say. The most enjoyable part of this job was building relationships with the individuals as well as my coworkers.

Management is extremely rude and uncaring. They don’t care anything for individuals wellbeing. Very sad place to work and watch all the clients go down hill after constantly trying to get them help. I would never work here again or suggest it to anyone unless you want to be depressed. When workers are burnt out they shift them to a different place of work rather than letting them recover. Terrible for employees and supported individuals. Have been reported for abuse to clients and to the labor board for over working employees.

Very toxic. Very intimidating, bullying from upper management

Owners have allowed young management to lose focus of  the clients they serve.  Management very young and want respect but do nothing to earn it.  Owners are more focused on money they can make then anything else.  Management out of touch with staff.   Always get a copy of everything in your file as they will add things you are not aware of.  Careful with your trust.   Stay away from this place!

Ultimately, the job can be stressful and the pay is not ideal, but this is mostly due to government budgets and not the organization. Training is great and hours are very flexible. The experience you have really depends on who you work with. Most of management is really good but it varies. Be honest about your comfort levels and they will provide you with different opportunities.
