Quickie Convenience Stores

I would open the shop at 8:00 AM. Then restock all the shelves and freezers that need to be restocked with items. After I finish restocking I would mop the floors , so that the store looks clean.  By the time i finish all that a customer will come and I would serve them at the cash register. Then I would basically serve customers and keep maintain a clean and organized store for every shift.

The hardest part of the job was sometimes when the store is quiet and no customers show up, it would get a little boring.

The most enjoyable  part of the was that you always get to interact with new people.

Every day at job is full of fun with sharp skill of observation and calculations. Follow the government laws very strictly and trained with working very fast pace environment. Every coworkers was behaving like good partner in all the situations including learning the things, handling disputes, exchanging the work schedule etc. Hardest part was keeping sharp eyes on each and every place and need to be alert very much for very big gas station. While everyday similar kind of customers relationship is most enjoyable part.

 a distinct lack of credible talent in product development. There are enormous inconsistencies in their underwriting. Head office looks away when there are serious infractions in ethics in distribution. It's definitely an "old boys club". Archaic approach the both the insurance and investment business. Senior management is completely out of touch with what goes on outside head office. Distribution is deplorable.

Just an average convenience store, on the edge of downtown Ottawa. There are a lot of different bus lines that stop right out front of this store, and it's within a block or two of several hotels.  They've got all the junk food you could possibly need, random other travel-needs, plus a Scotiabank ATM machine.

Quickie is not my ideal place of employment, but it is a steady income while I search for a position in my desired fields. My manager is very attentive to the work/life balance and does her best to ensure her employees feel heard and their needs are met.

Working with company 12 years it was very good experience customer service  it was no one goal. Managing big store there is lots of things you to calculate not only the Customers  Ordering   code for expired product

-Show up at the warehouse in the morning.
-Scan and load packages and go out for delivery.
-Can work at your own pace, No pressure to finish work at a specific time.

It was a good experience serving customers which improve my communication skill and interacting with people who has different culture and background. It was really open my eye's in different ways as human being.

It is a good place to work at in terms of employee safety, security and keeping yourself busy with every type of role being performed like cashier, customer service representative or assistant manager.
