My typical day working at Quill.com I would come in and log into the computer and the phone and spend about 5 minutes waiting for my first call. During that time I would check the Quill.com social media as I was a part of that team. I would then spend the rest of the day answering customer service calls and placing special orders. I leaned how to work in a sales driven environment and what constitutes good customer service. The management there were always trying to get the very best out of you. The culture was that of community and fun. The hardest part of the job was up-selling items that you knew the customer didn't want. The most enjoyable was knowing that you helped people with something that was causing them grief and hearing their mood go from sour and surely to satisfied knowing that the problem was dealt with.

Quill is a well respected company and well received by its clients. The management are great in Nova Scotia. As in all call centers there are expectations and time restrictions so be prepared to work hard. It would be helpful to be an efficient typist and quick thinker as there are good challenges in these areas.

On the phones receiving phone calls from clients wanting to place order.  Researching items, explaining delivery time, upselling monthly specials.

Although they stated they did not micro manage, every minute, needed to be accounted for.  Phone calls were all recorded, and meeting with the Sjupervisor weekly to go over stats which are picked at random.

Great for encouraging people, acknowledging achievements.

A typical day at Quill.com was very fast paced, you need to learn how to adapt to new situations daily. Being a customer service representative I had to knowledge customers about our business and products on our website. Customers also needed my assistance on finding products, tracking their packages and many account related inquires.

Inside Sales reps are self starters with great time management skills. Lots of opportunities to make great commissions. The company likes to treat employees in house to treats on occasion as well as incentive lunches for top sellers.

A lot of my time is used to call inactive customers and prospects in accordance with program strategies. Revenue is generated through soliciting sales, customer retention and product category penetration through directed and planned sales campaigns.

You come in do youre jobe which is calling existing customers and offer them a discounted membership program great job for sales driven people really stressful if you are not

Learning the job itself was fine. My manager was very on top of things and supportive. What made this job the worst was getting screamed and cursed at by customers everyday about things outside your control. Pay not worth the stress. 

Gets very busy with incoming calls. Have to enjoy customer service and can handle grumpy people. I think for the amount of stress the job brings the pay isn't worth it. Bonus is working from home, 10 days on 3 days off 

I would not Recommend working for Quill
Management is not supportive wages are fantastic no nights no weekends
Unrealistic expectations poor leads to call and at times very hostile customers
