Join the company when it is small. It was a friendly and "family" environment although there would be no career advancement within the company. As the company grows, management quality and working moral has been declined. However, I have seen and learned different management style from different management executives throughout my stay in the company.

My job required some travelling throughout BC and sometimes in Alberta and Saskachuwan.  Checking documents, plans, scheduling, field monitoring and hands-on technical work fill my typical work day.

Co-workers were friendly, but can feel their dissatisfaction about their job and/or company in my later days in the company.
The most enjoyable part of the job would be the work away from the office.

The most enjoyable part of working with Quilts were the customers and the great products that were made available for every house-hold budget. Working with management and head office proved to be difficult and there was absolutely no sense of job security. I felt more then a little disappointed when I lost my position with Quilts, I had hope despite the tremulous management issues there was room for growth and a real career opportunity.
I learned that no matter what you did to keep your bosses happy it was never enough and that even the biggest win could be turned into a defeat.

A typical day at work was spent serving the many customers, helping them find just the right bedding for their room, serving them to the fullest and making their experience a positive one.
I learned so much about bedding, the sizes of beds, quality of the various quilts and sheets etc.
I enjoyed working with all of my co-workers.
There were no hard parts no this job, all aspects were enjoyable.
The most enjoyable part was finalizing the sale, knowing the customer was leaving happy.

Quilts Etc. is a fast pace work place.  Serving customers is top priority.  A typical day at work, serving customers, ironing and changing beds, making sure store is tidy and ready for customers to browse.  Management is flexible and organized.  It is a diversified company.  The hardest part of the job is lifting the mattresses to put a bed skirt on.  The most enjoyable part is interacting with people and team work.

Coworkers are super people but management isn't the best. They would always talk down to the employees, especially if we didn't sell enough. Very high pressure environment, felt like I would lose my job if I underperformed. There's a lot expected of you to know and do and yet the wage isn't great for the amount of work. Work-life balance was great since I was only getting scheduled two times a week, even though I asked for more shifts. But the products are amazing and I learned so much. 

A typical day was folding linens and selling bedding. I learned about all kinds of fabrics. Management was very nice and understanding that I was new with all the materials. My co-workers helped me with understanding all the products. The hardest part of the job was understanding the product and which one best suited the customer. The most enjoyable part was relating to the customers and seeing a smile on their face when they found the right product to fit their needs.

I was with the company for almost 2 years and  you need to be really flexible....REALLY. I was responsible for selling company merchandise. The co-workers are friendly and had a  high level of competitiveness. Mind you I worked at a location that was not busy. Shipment days were great; new product but heavy boxes. expect to work 10-12 hour shifts if the store gets busy.

They need to be more careful who they hire as managers and district managers, they need to watch more carefully considering how badly one of their managers and district managers has treated staff only one week into transferring to our store. Mistreated everyone there including talking badly behind other employees backs. 

I absolutely loved my job. I loved my co-workers (99% of them anyways), management was amazing. Barely any negatives of working there except the low wages. I was trained as assistant manager, but was only paid as a sales associate. Probably partly my fault, I never asked for a raise. But all in all, nothing but great things to say about Quilts Etc!!

Small staff 4-6 women,good team like a family,always enjoyed going to work,stock day was like Christmas seeing the new quilts.management was fair with the schedule ,hardest part. Of job would be stock day some of the boxes can be heavy other than that great place to work.
