Overall, I enjoyed my time working as a Licensed Insurance Advisor. You are forced to build thick skin when dealing with bold clients over the phone, however it is a great stepping stone for future sales roles with RBC. 

Pros:
-Decent starting salary, with potential to earn quarterly sales bonuses
-Good health/dental/RSP benefits
-Potential to grow within RBC

Cons:
-Heavily micromanaged environment. All call center metrics are tracked (after call work, washroom breaks, etc) and constantly discussed in your meetings with your manager. Some managers wouldn't even want us to chat amongst coworkers after calls, and expect you to go from one terrible client to the next.
-Ability to grow within RBC Insurance is limited. There is limited room for growth on the Insurance side, however if you are interested in a banking role you do have the ability to leverage internal RBC roles.

RBCI provides a supportive work environment with plenty of opportunities for professional growth and development. The management team is approachable, and colleagues are friendly and collaborative, making teamwork an enjoyable experience. The company promotes a healthy work-life balance, with flexible work arrangements available in many roles. Compensation is competitive, and there are excellent benefits, including health coverage and wellness programs. While the workload can be demanding at times, the overall culture fosters a sense of accomplishment and appreciation for employee contributions.

You are to sell RBC on their customer service but if the customer comes in with questions or concerns RBC expects you to give the customer the advice centre phone number for the client to call. "We do not make money on you providing service to clients that is what the advice centre is for."

Working at RBC has been professional, career supportive and interesting.  I have learnt a lot. The company is ready to support my career growth.

Managers are supportive but the pay for the amount of work is not fair. No personal days and you have to work weekends. No flexible schedule and the shift changes in couple of months and if you are a beginner expect the worst shifts. There is performance based bonus and other financial incentives above your base pay so that is good. 

There is a bottleneck when it comes to progression within RBC's Insurance Department. A lot of people come through to utilize the department as a stepping stone on their career path. Very little passion and minimal accountability. Very high turnover rate. 

The first few months will be intense.  Then, the focus shifts entirely to statistics, dull meetings, and a lack of personal development. The salary isn’t great, and promotions don’t happen as quickly as you’d hope. Everything is meticulously planned. Great people though and good atmosphere !

This is the worst company I worked. Less efficient and biased manager.  Any chatterbox can be a manager.They don't know how to train new hires.
Tim horton on site is good

This is a great place to work if your looking to get your foot in the door. There is lots of room for advancement. 
You do need to be sales oriented because the required stats do includes high sales. RBC is very micro managed.

Management is not supportive at all.         
Managers are not ready to take any responsibility     
Can not transfer a furious client to manager even if client is reluctant to listen. Manager will never come to support
