RCR Hospitality

As per title, was expected to work all shift without a break, so I took a break whenever I wanted (what was my boss going to do about it really?), got free meals as a dishwasher and a portion of the tips (which usually didn't end up being much, best week was about 60.00), lots of overtime available as RCR has a bunch of different bars and restaurants, only really bad thing besides being expected to work all shift without a break was my boss kept delaying my performance review and raise and I think it was because I took breaks whenever I wanted, oh well, he proved to me he couldn't assign me appropriate breaks so I took them whenever I wanted.

This workplace maybe the most dysfunctional I've ever experienced. The only way to ensure job security is popularity. The management and overall work environment are extremely abusive and oppressive. Employees work upwards of 12 hours with no break. In my experience, the only thing that pushes managers to give employees a short break is when employees start having emotional and physical breakdowns. They go out of their way to find opportunities to cut wages. Overall a complete mess.

Every day is different which is nice, there are some issues in terms of breaks, pay, and lower level management. When working there I felt as though some people were given special treatment from lower level management if they were friends outside of work. Breaks are sometimes 2 hours and you are required to clock out, other times breaks are less than 15 minutes for a 12+ hour shift which is not legal. Almost always got food during a shift, sometimes work would be tough and food would be thrown out or taken, those were the worst shifts. 

A typical day at work entailed polishing silver wear and glass wear/ setting tables/serving tables and clearing tables. tearing down after gala/event. sometimes travelling for catering services which included what was mentioned above.
I learned good people skills/ how to properly set/serve tables, and teamwork.
management was good and always helpful and understanding
the workplace culture was diverse and enjoyable

This was by far the worst job I've ever had. The management was extremely disrespectful and openly misogynistic. They will make you work ridiculous hours for no money, treat you like dirt and expect you to be grateful for the opportunity.  They take full advantage of young staff who dont know any better. AVOID at all costs. The VP sent me a threatening email after I quit.

I learned everything I know from working with RCR hospitality. Amazing working environment, supportive and flexible management staff. Provided you with all of the support and resources needed to succeed and learn more about every aspect of the industry.

Supportive, and understanding Management Team, and The management work together with all the diverse staff and we enjoyed and worked together as a family.

Management treats you like garbage and expects you to be grateful. They do not care about your well being. You will not make good money. I’ve never been more disgusted by a workplace culture and management. 

Hard, physical work with long shifts. But the management is great and working with coworkers was fun. I enjoyed being able to work at different venues and do different tasks/jobs.

Management is great at RCR. We serve a variety of events so it is different every time you come into work. the people are great and they are very flexible when it comes to scheduling.
