This is a job/workplace that is always adapting to the challenges. This is the nature of the business and should be understood by future and current employees. 

Meaning that start times change with the seasons and weather. Employees can expect to start at site or at the yard dependant on the assigned job/task. We work in the elements and should be ready to work with the appropriate work wear. 

With that being said, the work environment is fast paced and full of opportunities to learn and grow.  The company is always trying to find ways to better support their staff in the various scenarios that arise. New additions to the upper management is another indication of proactively creating a workspace that works for their employees. 

Other indications of employee appreciation and continued investments includes on the job training, paying for third party certifications and training including operating equipment, irrigation work, hardscaping, and first aid. 

If you as an employee are willing to put in the work, RD Landscaping will do what they reasonably can to support you with time off, pay increases and promoting/hiring within the company. 

Most days are 8 hours of work, while some days may be longer when it comes to the end of a project.  

Otherwise, this is a good place to work and I wish I could have started at this company years ago. I would have made more money and enjoyed a better work-life balance. 

I worked here for 4 seasons until I had to move my family back to the lower mainland.  Always got along well with co-workers and Management.  The owner continually went out of his way to help me out when I had some tough times.   

If you can't "Adult" don't work here.  You have to show up on time and put in an honest days hard work.  Saw a few disgruntled staff let go early into their employment because they just couldn't get their life together and show up on time.

The company grew substantially during my time there and looks as though it has grown since.  I was always provided with the opportunity to get operational tickets and training.  Once I put in the work, got the training and showed what I could do I got some raises and promotions.

We got to work with some really cool tools.  Vacuum lifts for pavers, and dust free concrete saws.   For work that is extremely physical, they did their best to limit the physical strain on us.

Sad to see some of the undeserved bad reviews on here.   Pretty sure they are from the staff that were let go.

They take the time to balance teams and skillsets for the work of the day.
Opportunities are there as they are a quickly growing company that prefers to promote from within.
They recognise effort and reward you.
A true team effort all the way round.
Management and crew leaders are great examples to learn from with decades of experience between them and they are willing to share there knowledge.

There is always something new to learn, somebody new to meet and opportunities to take which keeps it exciting and the days fly! The work-life balance is incredible, I never feel stressed out about missing appointments or important matters because they’re extremely understanding and accepting that we still have lives outside of work. The people who work here are absolutely great to learn from, work alongside and chit-chat with throughout the work day. 

Management support is great. They are very committed to see you be successful, willing to listen and get ideas from the staff for making improvements in all departments. Management encourages and plans social get-togethers, they are willing to roll up their sleeves to help out in any way needed from loading trees into a customer's vehicle to cleaning the office. Very supportive environment. 

I have been employed with Rd landscaping since October last year I am glad that I have changed my career and I'm a team member of Rd landscaping. The on-job training is amazing the people to work with are awesome the management are there to listen help and respect the employees would definitely recommend this company for anyone wanting to learn and grow in the industry.

Worked with some great people, poorly run company, no room for advancement or any opportunities to make more money. Boss and his director of operations are a joke. They don’t care about anything but lining their pockets 

Higher paying landscape company in Kelowna. Great people to work with management is good makes for a fun place to work. Long days work hard but it goes by fast because of great people. Fun days. Company has zero tolerance for slackers. And so does the other employees. Slack and your gone.

Great bunch of people to work with. Lots of opportunities to learn new techniques and for advancement. Highly recommend this company. Would still be there but moved away. 

Expect to be underpaid for the work you do. Promised raises will be forgotten. Employees are great but the management is brutal. Other landscape company’s offer better wages and don’t ignore experience.
