RED FLAME INDUSTRIES

They have zero understanding of what they're doing, safety takes a back seat for looking busy (productivity isn't the goal), and disorganized. They screw up every paycheck with missing vacation pay or nightshift premium. Half the crew quit within a week on a pretty standard shutdown because they weren't getting paid while being expected to do labor intensive tasks for the only purpose of looking busy. Just do yourself a favor and apply somewhere else. They will lie constantly about their future prospects. It's a disgrace to the industry. 

I can speak highy of Red Flame Industries.  They have lots of tenured employees who have been with them for more than 10 years which is a good sign of their effective retention strategy, competitive salary structure and reward & recognition policies.   

Newbies who would like to have a career in welding, hot tap, NDT, RFI is the right place to start and grwo your career.  They amke sure you are well equipped before sending you to site.  Safety is also a priority, they're not perfect but everyone has a voice to improve HSE compliance.

If given a chance, I am more than willing to work with them again.

Management is more concerned with being at the campsite during the spring and summer instead making sure you have all the information needed for a job. Equipment is old and not maintained. When equipment breaks down it is only band-aided and not repaired correctly or replaced when needed. There is no work/life balance, you're either gone working or sitting at home making nothing. The environment is extremely toxic from top to bottom.

I was able to move up from Reception to Plant and Pipeline administrator within 2 months of working at the company.

I learned a lot about the oil & gas industry as this was my first job in this field. 

I would say learning the terminology has been the hardest but rewarding in the end. 

Most enjoyable part of the job is the fact everyone gets along and helps each other out.

If you fit in you will be fine. If you are not part of the click, you may as well give up. It is hard to fit in. The job is greatcwhen you are busy. If you are a welder expect very hot conditions welding on steam lines. Very awkward welding positions. Little to no recognition for a job well done.

Long term employee, get along great with co workers and management, if you require it they will make sure you have it. Very busy atmosphere at times, and a good challenging work environment. This company has done a lot of good for me and highly recommend 

The NDT branch of this company is great! They are professional, everyone is friendly, and they are very fair to their employees. If I were to go back to doing NDT, I'd for sure apply with Red Flame again!

Poor management, poor commitment to employees. Wastes money on unimportant things while leaving the field hands without appropriate safety equipment. Years behind on quality control and safety documentation.

its a good place to work. you learn more then one type of job. the people are good to work with. if you like traveling this is a good job to get into.

Had a good year there. Management in Red Deer were easy to deal with. Someday lacking some preplanning for jobs/worked scheduled but that happens every where.
