There are challenges and problems on a daily basis that our team faces. Staffing always presents a challenge to any security company in terms of quantity, quality and reliability.  However, our team always strives to overcome these staffing challenges through various methods (promotion, recruitment, incentives).

In this day an age it seems that most persons are looking to establish their next 3-5 years at a company and gone are the days of the long term loyal company people.  Regal embraces the idea that once you are at Regal you could be here for life if you perform well, put in the effort and always seek to be better then where you are.

First, relieve the previous guard at least 15 minutes before time, take site keys, and brief on-site for important events to note. 
Next, check the pass-on notes at the desk by other guards if any to note in your regal diary.
Next, check the fire panel status to write in a daily report, and access the control lobby.

Coordination with the property manager on important events to brief and take 
 the workplace to be treated with responsibility hardest is to handle arrogant and dissatisfied people. 
The most enjoyable to is to convince all residents and others in the best possible way but as per the rules set by the management and Protocol as per  Regal binder at the desk 
  

This company is quite frankly a joke. The management team offer zero support to the guards and bare-minimum communication with the client, making the guards and company as a whole look utterly stupid. They will swoop in and acquire an account at a cheap rate with a smoke & mirrors show, then lack the professionalism to hire the appropriate amount of staff, provide uniforms in a timely fashion and schedule shifts accordingly. I have worked in this industry for 15+ years and NEVER experienced such a laughable excuse for a security company in my career. Regal should spend the time & money shadowing a real company to see how policies and procedures SHOULD work in a reputable security company. This company will kill your motivation, drive and passion for enforcement - I highly suggest looking elsewhere for proper security experience and employment.

I told them at the very first interview I could not wok overnight. They placed me on a shift with a combo of overnights and 7AM weekends promising me it was temp. I had to fight for over a year to get a afternoon shift. They placed me at another site  but did not tell me the wage was 2 dollar less an hour. Found out when I got paid.  I was harassed for 2 weeks and had a coffee thrown in my face by a resident over a parking ticket. The supervisor and the patrol officer left to go to the fitness centre off site so I had no help. ( 2 buildings. Me in one .Them in the other)  Regal management did absolutely nothing about the harassment or the supervisor leaving site. Removed me from site and just forgot about me.  I ended up quitting. Found out later that the guard I replaced had a similar issue with the same tenant and was also removed. Regal does not have the guards back. Stay away.

I had a confirmed fulltime schedule but was told a day while at job site to not show up tomorrow without any advanced notice. No reason stated.

I had to speak to my supervisor who informed me there was scheduling changes going on. This is Canada, we all have bills to pay and cutting off people without notice isn't professional.

Having not worked for 1 month plus because at the time they did call back to schedule me, I already got something else going on and wouldn't want to joggle 2 locations. 

Bottom line, Regal out of the blues called to inform me that my employment has been terminated "again" without warning. They couldn't even give you a heads up that if you don't pick up shift by so deadline, your employment is done.... NO, they cut you off. Real mean!!!

Just a heads up people. Get yourself a reliable company with good work/mgt. ethics.  Your staffs are your face, treat them well.

As a Supervisor Concierge at Regal Security, the most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with a diverse range of people and ensuring their safety and satisfaction. I took great pleasure in greeting guests warmly and professionally, which often resulted in positive interactions and gratitude from those I assisted. This aspect of the job allowed me to develop strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, the satisfaction of successfully resolving emergencies and crises, knowing that my quick thinking and calm demeanor made a difference, was incredibly rewarding. Seeing the positive impact of my work on the safety and well-being of others was truly fulfilling and motivated me to perform at my best every day.

I worked for them for six months in Welland before I was actually given anything to do.  I had to wait for my supervisor to come back from a 2 month vacation and so I had to find my own work to do.
When I was finally given a task to do, they said that it was unsatisfactory.  I found out later that I was trained (3 days) totally different than the other girl that joined us (she had 5 days).
Then when I was given another task 3 months later (with notes that I made as a guideline), they still were not happy with my work but kept me on for another 3 months, totalling a year.
They were also changing staff all the time and you never knew who you were talking to whenever you reached head office.
I would definitely not recommend working for them.

This is one of the better security companies I've worked with over the years. Account managers and head office staff are helpful and generally communicative regarding schedules and other matters. My only complaint would be that sometimes it can be challenging to know exactly who to contact for certain things as there are several people in charge of the same departments and it's not clear who specializes in what. However the administrative staff is extremely helpful in sorting this out and it is only a minor issue. Overall the company and the sites they have available to work at are great and they will always try to match you to a site that fits your capabilities and situation.

no one respects your personal time at scheduling they ask if you can stay longer and do not take "no" as an answer, i told them that i cannot stay longer one day yet they forced me to and did not even call me to notify me that i am to stay an hour and a half after i originally ended my shift , they hire not the brightest people who you cannot be trained, all guards are always late i have never seen a less professional workplace. got promoted to supervisor yet my pay remained the same, they call us superheros yet cannot get their act together, embarrassing to say the least. scheduling will yell and argue with you on the phone unit you take the shift it is ridiculous how little respect they have for others.
