Typical work day was 8-4:30, relatively relaxed evenly paced day. Orders came in around 9 am, were picked throughout the day, and shipped out between 2pm and 4pm. I learned a lot about international shipping and health and safety in the workplace. I also learned what it was like to work for a large international corporation with ties in various fields. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to interact with all the different customers and see the inner working of a prestigious company's customer training programs. The hardest part of the job was having to take over running the warehouse after a month of working there. It was mostly a challenge because we were moving into the busy season and I also had to train myself as well as the occasional temp worker that was brought in to help. After that the only difficult part was the lack of oversight in the warehouse. I found that there was a complete lack of communication which did not help the fact that the manager was rarely involved with the workings of the warehouse itself. The manager also allowed personal issues affect his attitude at work, leading to misplaced blame and poor decisions, including asking staff to perform work that is unsafe and that they are not certified for. The rest of the co-workers were enjoyable to work with and made every day a great day. We had great get togethers and staff barbecues. on days that we had customer training seminars the staff received free lunch as well. another major benefit was the availability for overtime in the busy seasons.

As the quality assurance technician for Rehau I was responsible for testing all incoming materials to provide detailed information on the physical properties of each lot so that the proper combinations and end formulation would attain the internal specifications set for the piping.
During this time, I learned a lot about balancing requests and demands from a variety of individuals, and I believe this to be an essential skill in any work environment as everyone always has there own priorities. The key is to look at things from an unbiased view so that conclusions can be made to assure that the best result is attained for all involved and the company/business as a whole.

There were a lot of fine co-workers, it was a good place to work. I enjoyed organizing 4 annual golf tournaments. The employee culture was good. I would check a forklift, combilift, and 2 electric standup lifts upon arrival at work daily. Then check and submit a daily inventory count of production materials. Make sure that finished production was moved to transit bin and empty racks replaced them. As the day continued I would help with packaging. I would also help out in receiving unloading trucks of raw material, recording weights, and putting them away. Management was stressed trying to make the business sustainable.

They dont care about you only ther pocket. Closed and moved to mexico to pay employee in peso

All the grey area some day something is good the other day it the worst mistake in the world

could be a nice place to work, depending on which department you are working in. I worked with some very nice, helpful people. unfortunately I also worked with the other type. I would say the general moral of the average employee is low. I believe because of a high quitting rate the company is forced to hire unpleasant employees. management needs to be more involved in finding the employees responsible for low moral. if I had better co-workers I may still be working there.

Had a great time while working in the company. Learned a lot of practical knowledge and theories about plastics in general. Met a lot of great people to work with. Made myself self aware that I could do great things while under constant pressure. Accomplished a lot of positive things for the company thru self effort and passion. Would probably still be working there if the company would still be operational in Winnipeg

High emphasis on safety and housekeeping.
The orientation and training is a breeze if the new employee is very focused as the lead men and supervisors are very helpful and watchful on how the different processes are going on.
The actual works have some cautionary standards to observe strictly...and overall this company is above average.

I have nothing to say about my previous employer.  They train all their employees because the task of creating their product is not a simple one.

If you need a challenge this is the place,  The job at hand might seem simple however it is not.  The average leadhand has ten or more uears experience.  To be an expert in this field  may take 10,000 hours. 

Extremely challenging both metally and physically.

it is not a fun place to work the manager  don't know what the floor guys and lead hand are doing 
the supervisor is always busy and when you report to him the company don't do anything
a lot of people come and go every two weeks

Hands on Job, small company leads to large levels of interaction between management and employees. Workplace culture is decent. Weather makes the location of the job slightly awkward and the most enjoyable part of the job is motivation for self improvement.
