great company to work for. the pay is great and the environment is relaxing. you learn a lot. you learn how  to Worked with individual with a variety of disabilities in various locations across Toronto.
Assisted with teaching life, personal care and social skills,
Promoted self-determination and followed the lead of the individuals I was supporting
One on one support with daily activities, lesson plans and community outings
Assisted individuals with cooking dinner, personal hygiene and daily activities
Promoted independence and autonomy while assisting individuals
Respond to individuals in response to any health and safety concerns
Collaborated as a team to ensure the ultimate person direct support

A typical day at work for myself would be signing in at a location, cleaning up around the wading pool, filling water and adding chlorine to the pool. I would test the water every couple of hours. I learned how to be organized, and manage time. I learned that the job takes an abundance of responsibility and maturity. My co-workers were energetic and were always positive. The hardest part of the job was the weather. Some days, we would not be able to come into work because it was raining, because we work outside. The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to be around children, help them, and make sure they are safe. I enjoy having a sense of responsibility at my workplace.

In my current role as an intake worker with Salvation Amry, I love the work culture and the staff are helpful. The clients are experiencing homelessness, mental health and or addiction issues. The clients are provided with food and housing. The Salvation Army is an amazing place in providing an holistic support to the clients while incorpoarting the spiritual component in their healing and transforming their lives. The clients are well takecare of by the staff and management of Salvation Army to ensure they are provided with the support and resources as they work to transition into permanent affordable housing.

I wolud get the client up and ready for the day, we would go for walks, and play with the dogs. I learned a lot abot strokes and A.L.S. and what it can do to a family. The client's wife was my boss and she was so easy to talk to and appreciated everything I did. the worst thing about my job was leaving; when the client was put into a home. The best was that i can still go and visit!

As a relief worker my days were different which made the position very interesting . I gained so much knowledge about concurrent disorders and how to connect with clients.The hard part about the job was working alone while trying to manage the clients' needs and shift duties. Management was supportive and honest which helped me improve my work ethic .

Working with special; need individuals can be somewhat challenging. However with a long term experience and skills > i have been able to put in my best to help these special needs students/clients to make the best use of their abilities and to strive to encourage them maximize their potentials

Learned a lot 
Worked hard and became expert in solving medication issues, billing issues and inventory management.
Learned basics of business and how to handle strick control on inventory

Fun low stress job. Good management good team work. The hardest part of the job was leaving it. I learned night auditing of hotel practice and front desk services. I learned good customer service skills.

I supported Brian Injured clients through out the day by accompanying clients to medical appointments, administering medications, and daily activities of living.
