RENOVATIONS

a typical day at work would obtaining commands and fulfilling them. may it be framing, electrical, plumbing, dry wall ect. Throughout the years I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to learn from many different trades men associated with many different trades. An example of the part of the job that is the hardest, is sometimes when you have to meet exact deadlines, while being dependant on other trades to work efficiently, they don't follow through with their deadlines and this leads to having to put up with the customer/boss's frustrations. It's not very pleasant but its a part of going to work. The most enjoyable part of the job is viewing the finished product and seeing all the excitement and joy on the customers face :)

Ive always enjoyed working with my hands, this enabled me to explore more than one avenue at the same time. Fulfill my educational duties and work at my craft. I  mostly completed small scale projects including decks, patios, kitchens, painting homes etc. This sort of work has lead me to foresee what pieces of equipment, materials and time required to complete the tasks for the day. Learn to better quote jobs and develop a sense of detail that is second to none. The most difficult part of this was lining up future projects with little downtime. This was difficult as my studies were a priority during the school year.

A typical day would start with our arrival at the work site around 9:30 am and laying down drop mats to avoid dirtying up the nice floors. Then going over what we'd be doing that day and starting work on it. What I learned was how to use the power tools involved in renovating/demolishing a bathroom. My co-workers we're outgoing hard workers that were fun to be around and work with. The hardest part of the job was getting the finicky tiles to fit into the corners and up against the walls. The most enjoyable part was getting the finicky tiles to fit into the corners and up against the walls.

Doing renovation's can be enjoyable because when your finished you can really see the accomplishment of your work! The job can be dirty at time's,but having the costumer happy because their house has been fixed is worth it! The hardest part of the job is counting on another one being there when you are finished! Job security is low,but word of mouth for doing a good job is a perk! I have learn over the year's the faster you can have the costumer's house back to normal for living the happy they are and will put in a good word for you for future work!

Hardest part of the job is when clients are so happy with service that they request additional work, although often other jobs have are already scheduled.

Best part of the job is the Client's experience throughout the transformation process and the multiple referrals that follow for future business.

Each day at work often looked quite different from the other. We worked in mostly new houses, installing tile. Bathrooms, kitchens, floors, etc. I had no previous tile experience before this job, so I learned how to install tiles proficiently, and problem solve. I only worked for one person. He was very kind, patient, and understanding with me. He treated me very well and valued my part in his company. The job often demands heavy labor when loading and unloading material.

A normal day would start at 9 sometimes 9:30 and would end anytime between 5:30-7:00. I learned indoor and outdoor painting skills, wall repairs, and door repairs. The crew consisted of me and two other works. The head of the crew kept a well organized schedule. My co-works were both nice and capable people. The hardest part was getting around the learning curve of some of the skills. The most enjoyable part of my job was the type of work i was required

During working at this company I learned a great deal more about renovations than I knew when I first joined the company. I started with only basic knowledge and skill in renovations and when I left I took with me so much more knowledge and skill than I had to offer in the beginning.

I got lots of great experience working for that company, and everyday was a new experience. It was a clean and safe place to work at all times. The bosses were good caring people to be around and listened when you needed help or just someone to talk too. I really enjoyed my job there.

My own company. based on the work ethic, if the company progresses then you progress. Jobs were taken in residential and commercial atmospheres only on a "turn key" basis. which includes all aspects of the contract from start to finish. Only on completion was the job paid and then usually with a bonus.
