An operation led by out of touch well paid managers who exploit overworked, underpaid staff members in the name of profit and profit only. The company does not care about its employees, about the town, about locals, about skiing or about anyone who isn’t an affluent visitor bumping up the profit margins. Every perceivable corner will be cut in order to save a cent, and employees will be provided with no incentive or support and only asked to work continually harder with no expectation of an increase in salary. It is a company focussed solely on greed and it will knowingly exploit young seasonal workers in particular in order to staff their necessary operations knowing that they will be exhausted and drained but gone in 6 months. You are constantly reminded that you are just a tool and a number and replaceable rather than a human being 

Thinking of working at RMR?  DONT DO IT.   Do what ever you need to do to buy that pass and avoid working for these clowns at all cost.   Upon starting my job at the beginning of the year I was full of motivation and ideas.  RMR management will do what ever they can to exhaust you,  out work you,  under pay you and simply not care about you at all.  I have never worked for a company that has such corrupt and managers who don’t care about you at all.   All the resort cares about is profit.  They hate locals,  they hate kids,  and they hate ski bums.   All they want is rich tourists and it shows.  RMR also has 0 communication between departments making your life EXTREMELY difficult.   

Save yourself and DO NOT WORK FOR RMR.   You have been warned. 

Staff accomodation are charged quite high for almost no value, to the point that you feel worked at least three times what you are paying for the rent, management does not take any accountability to ensure everyone clean after themselves, but will literally charge you cleaning bills resulted from staff that only worked during the high seasons leaving their mess behind, and expect you to take it, with a smile.

Communication with management turns into a shore due to them always cutting corners, always going through the same cycling dialogue that leads to nowhere beside trying to make you compromise your work values. 

If you're looking to get away for a "stay-cation" for a ski season it's a solid place to work. Pass is paid for and you get to ski everyday. The direct supervisor's/manager were great when I worked there and would notice/be very appreciative of hard/extra work. That wasn't the case from upper management though. If you volunteered to cover someone's shift for them they won't pay out overtime hours because "you volunteered so it's on you." Not entirely sure that's legal...but overall a solid place to work. I'd go back.

Management at northland/RMR is a joke. Do not work there they will lie to you and pay you as little as they can to save a penny at every corner.  Save yourself the pain and do not work there at any costs. Work in a restaurant you will make a lot more money and will save you the trouble of the worst upper management ever seen. Just to give you an idea they cant even run the one mountain coaster they have and instead of giving their staff a living wage they decided to a build a SECOND coaster while they cant even operate the first one they have because they cant pay a living wage. STAY FAR FROM THIS COMPANY

The amount of communication gap between different departments is ridiculous! No one knows what others are doing. Senior management is terrible and not skilled at all. People just hire their friends and family. There's no BIPOC senior management. No BIPOC person for promotional videos or ads, No BIPOC servers. No one works their for the low wage or terrible management. The staff is ever-changing. People are usually there for the free pass. 

RMR is a good place to work with the right balance of fun and responsibility. Managers expect good work ethic and in return you can also enjoy yourself when there is any down time. I've found that the immediate supervisors and managers you see and work with day to day, care about you as a person and take the time to get to know you and help out when working conditions could be overwhelming (busy rushes or high temperatures you get working outside in summer/winter).

Typical resort issues. Lack of communication, low wages, few benefits and you're just a number. Don't expect being valued. You will be overworked in peak season and essentially let go the moment business slows down. High turnover and the corporation has little interest in changing that. It's easier to undertrain an inexperienced person that they can get away with paying a low rate rather than valuing skillful employees.

Very typical corporate resort experience. Low wage, very high cost of living. Management doesn't take the time to get to know their front line workers. Very unorganized and poor communication at times. However, it's. one of the easiest jobs you'll ever do and if you're okay living paycheck to paycheck and just want to ski, it's a fine place to be. Good luck finding housing. 

Decent time, staff are very underpaid, they have a party and staff appreciation meal at the start of season. You will be working with many international staff notably from Australia and New Zealand.
