Worked at their Conuvo branch in North West Edmonton. They gave the impression that people can move up, that they welcome new ideas and ways of thinking. That was a lie. Every sales meeting they I was a part of, any idea I had was flat out rejected. 
The managers compliment you on how well of a job you do and how quickly you pick up things when you first start. But within two months they let me go for no reason. 
Their onboarding is a joke. No formal training. They just put you in front of the system and expect you to know how to navigate everything. And when you have questions or need help, no one is to be found. Not unless they want to cook burgers on the managers balcony. 



Show up, pre-trip the truck, get in line to get your load, check the ticket and set the slump right, off you go to the jobsite, finish unloading concrete according to the customer's needs and as directed, come back and repeat for as long as the day goes. 
People come into this job thinking its gonna be like office culture, like everyone is gonna care or know about you, no that's not gonna how that works.
You do your job right, mind your business, don't talk bad about anyone to anyone (doesn't matter how badly you want to). 
Remember your job stability comes from minding your business.

Only the top 20% know when there start time is…every day. You never know when you’re done. I learned my life is more important than money. Management are a group of “yes men”. The workplace culture comparatively is on very low end. You are expected to be a clone..a robot. Like it or leave. The job can be challenging but it’s never out of the realm of possibility.  The hardest part is losing your life..at least 6 days a week. If you’re in a relationship, kiss it goodbye. Paychecks used to be good. But, keep track of your hours. You do make some good friends, but they are flighty at best due to no life outside of work. 

The pay rate is good, for a journeyman electrician is about 39$ which unfortunately is slightly above average these days. That being said it’s the only real benefit. 

There were many days that we would finish and work then get sent home early. There were a few weeks where we didn’t even get 30 hours.

Micro management is prevalent. As a journeyman electrician I still had to call my service manager/engineer for permission to purchase simple things required to complete a job. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
There were some nice people to work with. But no one from management or above. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No job security. No one's job was safe, unless you worked at head office. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Terrible, depressing work culture and environment. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Dreading going to work in the morning, hating every minute there, then dreading going back the next day.

Good benefits, pay could be more desirable(apparently cost of concrete was not passed off to customer, as we were constantly told).once you were good at your job,time management became much easier. Job security is non-existent, management is “the boys club” never advance from your hired position as you are just a tool in the box.equipment is wearing out and poorly maintained.

Being in the mobile division has allowed travel around Alberta, while getting paid a good wage. Ive met amazing people,  and I found its easy to go with the flow, and not expect anything. Look forward to many years with the company. 

I go to work to work. Apparently some people don't... I didn't mind working there. Wish I could have been paid more than some of the slackers there. Nothing like working hard for hours then go to lunch room to see your co-workers on their phones...for the past 3 hours.lol..oh well..it is what it is 


It was a great company to work for. Company offered the best RRSP and benefits program before COVID. Company started cutting RRSP and benefits program even if company stay busy and expanding everywhere. 

Great place to start off to get experience on tools management in the shop is great 
If there’s any issues some one is always willing to help 
Simple and easy work
