Everyone that works at Rogers Sportsnet was amazing to talk to and very easy to get along with. The workspace was comfortable and made you feel welcome which is a big part of working successfully.

Management was very easy to talk to and when something needed to be done they were straight forward and told me exactly what to do and when to do it.

You could take your breaks at anytime and a fairly long lunch break (within reason). They were lenient with lots of rules but in turn made production and the happiness of coworkers up.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Professional and friendly environment. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Prep the studio. Turning on monitors. Setting up cameras, coordinating with director and producer. Rehearsal of elements of show. Pre tape any items needed and finally go live to air.

Getting paid to watch sports? Really have to dig deep to find negative side effects for a job like that. Although I was one of the youngest employees to work there, I never felt out of place. 

Working alongside so many creative minds really created an enjoyable environment. Upper management was very fair, co-workers were friendly and the job itself was a dream.

Every day was a new experience. We were able to explore the creative side of telling stories without being supervised. We were well respected and able to do our jobs without much interference from people above us in the org chart. The group I worked with just wanted to put out the best product we could and we worked together to do just that.

I worked for Rogers Sportsnet over the last year and a half and had the best team and manager I could ever ask for. While there were occasional challenges like with any job, it was an incredible environment and a wonderful place to be.

I could not be more excited to be a part of the team on an internship basis, observing and assisting in projects and taking help tickets from the staff;  I have been able to improve on my experience testing and working with audio and visual technologies, developing test plans and exploring new project ideas.

Great leadership, winning brand.  Strong corporate winning culture with passionate employees dedicated to driving high performance.  Has experienced significant growth since acquiring NHL rights.

Awful hours - every other person is divorced for a reason - it ruins your home life.

Awful pay. Not sustainable for living in Toronto.

Bi-yearly layoffs. This can't even be disputed. Ask Around. 

Management Turnover - Had more than a dozen managers in a decade.  

Great place to learn, work with amazing people and see many different cities. Each day is very different, with varying circumstances and obstacles always thrown your way. No two days are ever the same!

Sportsnet is a fast paced job where I have to work on deadlines all the time. If i"m ever late my assignment will miss it air time.
