A typical day consists of interacting with customers and providing a great customer experience whenever possible, in addition to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patrons and co-workers. This involves cleaning theaters and lobbies, removing garbage, and keeping washrooms clean and tidy. 

The management are generally okay at what they do. They assist in the daily operations of the theater and maintain some sort of direction for the staff to follow, and are overall good people to work with. However, some decisions made by managers are questionable. The co-workers create a fun and friendly environment and are the main reason if not the only reason for this job to be satisfying. 

The hardest part of the job would be having to deal with the high amount of picky and unreasonable customers who seem to always want to find ways to take advantage of the company. These customers tend to ignore rules of the theater and very frequently have the "something for nothing" mentality. They usually complain about any small giving detail regardless of significance and expect to be compensated with either free admittance, free food, or reimbursement AFTER watching the complete film. In addition, the customers view you as insignificant and tend to ignore your attempts to enforce rules or attempts to help them. This coupled with the fact that the job pays poorly and recognition of hard work usually goes unnoticed if not ignored, makes it tough to keep morale high. In addition, job advancements are virtually non-existent as the company seems to favor hiring externally rather than promoting from within. On frequent occasions, one is expected to be "jack of all trades" at the job and assist in every position available (concession attendant, usher, box office employee, etc) regardless of being scheduled to one specific job position. Furthermore, due to poor scheduling (not having enough staff on hand) or poor managerial decisions to send staff home causes the work load to be unevenly distributed and falling upon the remaining staff, which creates a very demoralizing environment.

The most enjoyable parts of the job are the friendships you create with the people you work with. They become more than just co-workers but more of a family as it is very typical to create long lasting friendships with the people who work here.

Overall, this job is okay at what it is, just something to pay the bills. Do not expect anything exciting, other than potentially creating long last friendships.

A typical day working at Rainbow Cinemas could be very slow or very fast paced depending on the day. It was a very enjoyable place to work because all the workers got along like family including management. I learned a lot by working there because if management was too busy to take care of something, I would be the other person to help someone and act as an assistant manager. I used some different computer programs, I would be able to cash other coworkers out, and do administrative and reception work. There wasn't anything I didn't like about my job other then the fact that there wasn't many shifts.

Working there was okay, although it wasn't the job for me because the heat from the oil made my skin breakout, we worked right beside the bar, and some of the co-workers weren't very polite. The hardest part of the job was definitely the busy hours because we had to keep the line going, make popcorn, clean the floors, refil the drinks, and restock the cups, bags, etc. I enjoyed the slow days because we all relaxed and got along.

I first became employed at Rainbow Cinemas in 2018 when I was 16, I worked there for 4 years, it is a great starting job for students who are looking to save for post secondary. The hours are flexible and they are willing to work around your school schedule, the managers are friendly and encouraging.  The only con would be that there isn’t much room for advancement, so eventually it will be necessary to look for employment elsewhere.

Great first job for anyone. There isn't much room for advancement or raises, being its a second run theatre. But you get free popcorn, free drinks, free movies, even get access to movie posters. I loved my time there, and tend to miss it some days. I would definitely recommend working there. It has it's busy days, and its slow days, so you experience a lot.

Sell and collect admission tickets and passes from patrons, examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity.
 	Operate concession stand before, during and after show.
 	Filed paperwork prepared box office reports.
 	Pleasantly and courteously interacting with guests.
 	Handling 600+ guests at a time during low-priced ticket days.
 	Maintaining and cleaning the machines used in the concession every day during closing time.

A typical day involved selling of movie tickets and gift certificates at the box office. If I was working the projection booth, I would prepare the films for running and take down at the end of the shift. If working as an usher I maintained the theatre by cleaning up after every showing of films, and doing hourly floor checks.

-work is good. it is not hard. most of the time it is dead.
-it is very relax to work here
-hardest part of the job is dealing with violent drunks that usually comes in the facility
-people are nice
-the relaxed environment and easy job is very addicting and hard to leave but there is not chance for your career to get any better. Hard to get any increase in salary.

While working for Rainbow Cinemas, for 2 years, it was the most uplifting, rewarding, and growing job experience. Management was extremely friendly and professional to work with. Great and strong environment I worked with for my two years experience.

Amazing place to work, from friendly staff and customers. To the perks of free movies for the family and free snacks. Having an amazing management staff always on. didn't feel like a job at the end of the day.
