It was truly a great place to work when it was family-run. Since being acquired by a private equity firm, a lot has changed, and it no longer embodies the people-centric culture it once had.

There were high expectations but your efforts were recognized and rewarded, especially through a very generous bonus structure for full-time employees, which encouraged high performance and real innovation. Unfortunately, that structure will end in 2026.

Benefits and flexibility are also shifting — insurance is being replaced with a less competitive plan, and remote work days are gradually being reduced. The culture has become much more numbers-driven, and salary and expectations no longer feel aligned.

It’s a real shame to see such a once-great company move away from what made it special.

The main reason I love working at Ranger is due to my co-workers. Mutual respect and dedication are abundant. First place I have ever worked in my career where anger and finger pointing are not tolerated. This is a company that allows you to work independently and extends trust that you will get your work done. If you do so, you will be rewarded  in your bi-annual performance reviews. The company culture is More is Possible and if you adhere to that and truly embrace it, you will succeed. You get what you put into. If you are a slacker, this is not the place for you. If you want to be part of a great team and prove yourself, it will be the perfect place for that. If you expect special treatment and think complaining will get you somewhere, don't bother.  Productive and positive feedback is what is valued at Ranger Design. 
Work hours are above average for an office job but are also flexible. 

People were treated like machines . 
the average finished product versus their projection is inhuman. How are you going to finish 120 products in a shift if the computed time to assemble it is 5 minutes.  They will lay you off because they do not like you because. Favouritism is in their roots already.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Best part is that before they are giving bonuses but now no more it went to office workers that it does not have contributory to the production.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Compelling us to do overtime. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very bad working environment it's not conducive it's whom you know. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The worst, I  don't consider as a good foundation in raising a family.

The company likes to publicly promote that they are very family oriented, however, employees are cohered into working in the range of 50-60 hours a week, with no form of compensation (financially or otherwise).

Upper management (Directors) are extremely inexperienced in their respective fields. The company pushed it's employees to their mental and physical limits, and does not show any regards for their well-being.

I am shocked how they treat women here. If you are not part of their religious community then you are just a "tool". I was furloughed for "Covid" but was never recalled back although they accessed the government wage subsidies  funds and company is making profits again. Shocking experience. I will not recommend this place as a good place to work.

Unique culture with friendly, humble employees, no drama workplace. Will fit well for people that hate the kind of repetitive jobs as there will always be new projects, new challenges. What I like most is transparency and that managers actually listen to and respect your opinions. 

High stress environment due to lack of focus and a real growth strategy. Company driven by sales numbers only. Unhealthy workload pressure. Quantity trumps quality. Work life balance is optional and management would love to see you work 12h a day + weekends.

This company is more like a shipping company. Job is to pick, pack and assemble products for delivery. You need to be fast in order to keep your position. If you don't work hard you will be kicked out right away. Benefits are okay, but no pension plan for employees.

It was a great learning curve at Ranger Design, especially in the Engineering Department. The colleagues and the manager were very encouraging and it'll make you feel motivated, even to meet client deadlines. Lots of exposure and weekend activities too.
