I worked their for 7 years as a Sr. Advertising Consultant, and it was one of the coolest gigs you could ask for. Meeting interesting people, connecting with a variety of business owners, an opportunity to be as creative as you want to be, VERY good earning potential, relaxed culture... it is a work hard, play hard mentality, on 100% commission. There is no doubt, this is not for everyone, but it is likely worth the risk. If you are applying, be persistant... it helps. And in your interview, be sure to ask about the Million Dollar Corner!!!

overall a good place to start your sales career. You must be self motivated and able to do the hard sell. Great salary but then go straight to commission which can be hard if you have no clients. The market is small in the city and most of the AC's already own half the city so yu have to do some digging to find the gold nuggets. Also the culture was very good.

Expect low pay, to not get a raise, and they will expect you to work overtime for free, including coming in early, after hours, and working over your coffee breaks and lunch hours.  Also expect to do other jobs than the one you were hired for.  Expect alot of turnovers - at least a dozen people are laid off annually.  Your job is never secure.  And you aren't appreciated.  Don't waste your time.

Kids Christmas party - you need to supply the gift for your child... only place I’ve heard of that does that.


-Producing and hosting a live radio show.
-Learned to feel more like myself on-air.
-One of the greatest managers I have ever had the pleasure of working for. His critiques were always self-improving to help further your career.
-The most enjoyable aspect was sharing laughs with the listening audience and having conversations with them on the phone

I loved working here for as long as I did and I have many regrets in hind sight. It was a great job with some great people and I loved it there.

My biggest gripe with working here was the fact that I vehemently disagreed with some of the on air talk personalities' politics, and just by the principal it made it working there kind of hard.

The people at Rawlco are great, but in the 7 months that i worked there, I saw many people either quit, let go, or be fired. It was very nerve wracking watching all those other people leave, knowing you might be next.

Your day will never be boring there is always a lot on the go so time management is a must. The social committee always seems to have something in the works to build relationships among departments.

More of a casual type job... Better in the summers where you can be outside and enjoy yourself. Fun job and you get to meet lots of locals and business owners

This job is unreal. It gets you out into the city and doing news things all the time. It's an amazing job, you're constantly learnings new things and meeting new people. Great way to get involved in city events and charitable events.
