Management was awful. You have to go downtown atleast 1 day a week (position dependant) even though there are no clients there but they just like to see your face. If you missed an in-building day due to being sick or the TTC strike or any reason you HAVE to make up those days the follow week or you get reprimanded and possibly have to go in all 5 days from there on. Lower management was great. Upper management was rude sloppy and overall horrible. Wouldn’t recommend working there. If you have a client who is yelling at you, you cannot stand up for yourself instead just grin and bear it. If you have a call that lasts longer than a few minutes you get spoken to. You get scored on every call and if you don’t say “2-3 minute hold time” every single time you put someone on hold you get docked points. If you have a second of dead air - docked points. If they are rude and snippy and yell at you and you get a tad flustered - docked points. 

I found working at RECO to be one of the most horrible experiences I've ever hard in my working career. The job itself was fairly simple, lots of work but training was provided but the work environment was vile. Gossiping and such rude rude rude mannerisms from your co workers. My manager herself was extremely rude and very racist and I do believe I simply was a diversity hire.

Generally employees at RECO work hard, however we are under-paid in my opinion especially given how much work is required of us. Management often make decisions without consultation or providing even a heads' up.  Often find out org changes may be coming through rumors.

The Real Estate Council of Ontario is responsible for regulating real estate professionals in the province on behalf of the Ontario government. They protect the public interest through a fair, safe and informed marketplace.

Work-life balance is great here.

 A lot of opportunities to learn and great leadership.

Not much micromanagement. The workplace culture is simple but professional. Pay is also commensurate with other regulatory bodies

Worked for them for a number of years, been many changes of late. All for the better good. No complaints, pleasure to work for, very adaptive to individual and community circumstances.

Great way to meet people and help them find their dream home or support them with selling their current home. Working with new home buyers is always exciting!

The overall atmosphere is quite refreshing and you feel at ease.
