Big swings in volume from one day to the next. Suited to, and requires flexible and adaptable floor staff. Supervisory staff needs to have great problem solving skills to keep things running efficiently. Proper labour allocation is paramount. Crossed-trained staff and independent thinkers makes life for management and supervisors so much easier. Supervisors are aware of this, management less so. 

Staff is easy going but are currently feeling the loss of some experience staff members that have moved on. The hardest part of the job, the insanely busy days when everything seems to have gone wrong. Most enjoyable part of the job? Those insanely busy days, when with the assistance of your team you overcome all the issues and get the job done.

A typical work day involves either visiting a number of stores that sells our product and supervise the work of sales coordinators and take pictures of shelves and merchandise display. At end of day review all data collected and submit necessary evaluations and recommendations to sale representatives.

I learned how to apply my skills in supervising people and learned about the way FMCG industry works and the role of marketing in making it's success. 

The management was doing a good job at organizing people. The coworkers where mainly friendly and pleasant

The hardest part was getting used to the new job for someone who is mainly specialized in business administration and learning all required information

The most enjoyable part of the job was the feeling you make a difference.

Data entry/EDI management, order management (releasing, holding, entering), product information, monthly financial calls, cut report transmissions, MS office/Excel (emails). Learned time management skills. Management is transparent, and highly supportive. Co-workers are driven, energetic, and co-operative. Hardest part is the lack of set guidelines for processes that affect customers, and the month-end pressures. Enjoyable part was working with fun, friendly people and management that supported you.

RB prides itself on being lean but your are expected to do the job of 2 people. I found the culture to be exploitative. They underpay their employees and their suppliers.
The senior management team are arrogant.
Opportunities at RB are not for everyone. If they really like you, they'll develop you and if they don't, you'll go no where, not even to a management team meeting to present. 
For them everyone is instantly replaceable. You just happen to have the job for the day. That's the mindset.
Save your soul and do not work there. That's my honest advise.

A typical day at work can be summed up in one word as "Busy". 
Starts up with the operational meeting
Checking the different manufacturing process daily which includes all the manufacturing lines, also includes all engineering checklist on facilities and equipment.
The most enjoyable part is when we are audited, and auditor requests for checklists and procedures. Making these data available without any delays, is the most enjoyable.

Fast Paced, Muti Tasking. P&L Experience, Developing Marketing Plans and Executing/Develop a Sales Plan.The best thing I personally enjoyed was the independent working environment as well as part of a local and International Team and Support system.
To be challenged to achieve Stretch Targets/Over & Above performance.

All about the numbers, good management, lots of hours.  I always had great managers.  Very close with co-workers.  Learned lots about retail execution.  Hardest part was the long hours.  Most enjoyable was working with my customer.

Typical day - running the packaging line in factory.
I learned that factory work is not for me.
Management - no comments.
Co-workers - very straight people.
Hardest part - standing 8h and watching packaging line.
Most enjoyable - end of the shift.

3 years of experience at Reckitt equivalent to double elsewhere,  expect to do multiple things that are not necessarily in your scope.
Management is changing often, which is showing opportunies to grow

RB is a great company that gives full responsibilities to its employees since day one. People there are nice,  intelligent and easy to get along with.
