Red-L Distributors

Red L Calgary is a small operation. They are more of a hose company then bulk oil and lubricants. Manager is not well versed in the bulk oil operations or equipment. There is zero maintenance schedule for trucks and equipment. Equipment and tools used for the job are old and not maintained well. Your paid salary not hourly. Manager keeps track of your so called hours and forgets to add overtime to your pay. You won’t get a raise as it will come out of managers bonus. Oil tanks used for bulk oil are old big steel caged tanks that are heavy even when empty and take up more room in truck then they need to. Don’t bother making suggestions to improve things. It will fall on deaf ears. 
Customers are cheap and fairly rude. It’s slow most days so you’ll be expected to sweep floors in the warehouse for hours on end. 
Over all not a great place to work. 

Branch manager of Red-L is very unprofessional. She takes no time to teach and gets very mad and frustrated easily. Swears at her employees in front of customers, and has zero patients. The hardest part of the job is trying to deal with how poorly the branch manager attempts to run the shop. My most enjoyable part of my job is when I am out on deliveries away from the poorly managed shop.

I loved my time at Red-L distributors.
It was a great, family-run business, that made you feel part of something.
Everyone was easy to work with and work for. There was a real sense of family and of being part of a team.

Start day earlier than most as I had to go on the road alot. Went in for a useless daily meeting that never helped me get where I needed to be. Always wanted more but never want to pay those who go the extra mile.

You do alot of work with low pay and minimal appreciation.  Management never takes ownership of their mistakes.  They always put the onus on the staff 

Great team of people who work together to get the job done. I mainly kept to myself and focussed on the job. Management was fair and easy going. Learning pace was steady. 

This was an excellent place to  work -I only left here to make more money as I had a job offer to go to work on a mining project-the people I worked with were top of the heap

I also get do do stock checks so my job give me a avaraiaty so i am not sdoing the same thing over and over and over again

Bad payment and don’t pay the hours the you work stay away still money from you bad manager  and very olds trucks and the truck has many problems not very bad company
