A typical day at work was to write up reports, enter data, collect mail from the 7 supervisors and my manager for administrative support requests as well as create reports.  I learned how the developmentally challenged people can actually improve their capabilities with proper respect.  I also learned their ShareVision program and Reena's policies together with government requirements from Reena.  I am a people person so everyone at Reena was great to work with.  I respected everyone from the cleaners to higher management. I experienced no difficulties while working their, I adapt quite rapidly. The most enjoyable part of the job was the actual responsibilities as well as my co-workers and my manager.  Very professional and knowledgeable in the field.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working here is a nightmare. I did not have any positive experiences outside the clients I worked with. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management, if you complain about safety or harassment, they will brush it under the rug. As long as you ignore major safety concerns and do what the status quo is, you’re going to get promoted. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Awful. If you do not fit in with the majority of people, bring up safety concerns, or work with your clients budget and use ad matching to stretch the food budget, you are a target. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It sucks outside supporting the guys. But if your client needs support during dinner, you will be ridiculed for this. Best to avoid this place at all costs.

If you are a compassionate person and want to work in the field of social work/support work then this job is for you. Reena makes an effort to take on individuals who have been deemed too aggressive or unsuited for other companies' respite or outreach programs and you can really see how they thrive in this setting. The people you care for are extremely sweet and the job is very rewarding.

HOWEVER, if you're expecting career advancement or even recognition based on merit, forget about it. Management is sloppy - some don't answer emails, internal hiring takes months, and favouritism is rampant. If you're chummy with the boss, you'll do just fine. If not, then good luck. Staff are often neglectful towards individuals and seem uninterested in the job. This of course is overlooked if you have an in with your supervisors. 

A great place to work, learn and develop. The stress and/or  fun part of it depends on which location and staff you work with. 
The kind of relationship you have with the management also depends on the kind of Supervisor. There are great Supervisors as Leaders and there few Supervisors as Master and Servant. 
Although a Jewish organization; I give it to them for proving adequate training so you necessarily do not be a Jew before you are hired. 
Some policies of the company are not considerate enough and may have to be looked into. Unfortunately, some of the management or Supervisors feel the policies can not be challenged, however, senseless it seems.


Reena isn’t just about working they grant varieties of learning opportunities to staffs in pleasant environment with good quality teams and listening supervisors. It’s almost my 2years of working at Reena and it’s so fun and enjoyable for me the management cares about its staffs I remember meeting with the CEO of Reena during my employment signing in January 2020 he was pleasant and welcoming my conclusion Reena is a great place to work and one would also grow intellectually cos aside shifts there learning and developmental training paid programs are in lines too as scheduled Reena serves different opportunities and growth. 

Constant use of initiative and team work.
Collaboration and resilience is always the order of the day.
The hardest part of the job is when there is crisis but it doesn't get hard because there is always someone to work with on the team making the job easy and interesting as you are never left alone to deal with any crisis however small it may be.

You have the ability to grow, family oriented agency, value staff excellent work environment

This is a pleasant atmosphere to work

Very diverse and pleasant. Everyone is treaded equal

Professional and friendly , stress-free day to day

As a new management level staff, I had an opportunity to create and lead my own team that I  created. The location was also brand new and so were the individuals moving in. All of this was an enriching experience and definitely had personal growth. 

An excellent great place to work. You get to understand what Developmental challenges looks like, also individuals living with Autism and the various supports provided to help the individuals maximize their potentials.

I volunteered for 2 years at the Battle centre as a basketball coach and palunteer. Then I was hired as a rec worker and things went downhill. They expected you to be a PSW for minimum wage. When incidents occurred, they found a scapegoat in you. Avoid at all costs.
