Extremely repetitive mind numbing work on production line (welding), with pressure to meet time expectations but total lack of care for quality. They were bought out by global corporation while I worked there, a new CEO came in, and immediately there were hundreds of layoffs. I suspect they've sent a portion of their production offshore and have much less demand for manufacturing in the Delta facility. My leadhands, fellow welders, and our shift manager were all fantastic guys and I could not fault any of them. The safety guy also got us all top of the line 3M papr welding ppe, which would have been thousands of dollars per welder. Though they kept that when they layed me off. Upper management will all say one thing and do the exact opposite though, toxicity spreads from them, everybody is stressed because the clock is always ticking, and they're always trying to find new inefficiencies.

Local IW Shop 712 is also a bit questionable. Their rates are lower than comparable unions, although wages and benefits at Regency are decent for what it is, and the union did push for 2 raises in the time I worked there. The union didn't help any of my co-workers find work after lay offs though, while still expecting dues. 

All in all, as a welder, I was happy enough to earn the paycheck I did there, but I don't think I would recommend working there, nor would I like to work there again. 

Good location for people living in Surrey, Delta or New Westminster. Unionize and decent starting wage for Production worker 2. Great working hours Mon to Thurs 6am to 3pm and Fri 6am to 12pm with 30mins lunch and 2 x 15mins break.

2 weeks on the job and I would say the work load is reasonable with the pay you get or I should say they are many worse production jobs out there making lesser money. Don't expect detail trainings or someone babysitting you... you have to be a quick learner and observant and honest to your leadhand if you messed up and get help to fix the problem or it will definitely come back to you when a customer complaints.

Overall, is a good place to work for hard working person who wants to start with a decent pay and grow within the company.

People are working here since this company came into existence i.e., 1979. You will find many employees working here for 20 years or more, this proves that how much employees love working here. I loved working here and I would love to go back if I ever get a chance. Everyone loves working here and do their job seriously and play hard. Social club holds events every month and give some gift cards and game tickets to reward their employees. Work life balance is perfect, no work from option, so that you enjoy your family when you are at home. Company management encourages you to learn new tools if it is needed for your job and they pay for it.

I enjoyed most of my time there until I learned they do not care for their employees. They will lay you off. They will treat you like a cog in a wheel. At first you will feel part of the team but thats simply a way to keep you on board until they ly you off. I was layed off twice in two months, everyone at the company speaks about how new employees are just meant to be used and abused then thrown away right bwfoee benefits kick in. Also before probation is over, within one to two weeks too. Please do not work here if you want a secure job.

Honestly the work is semi easy. Learning how to assemble metal furnaces isn't hard but there's lots of components and parts usually in various lines. Work isn't hard but the pressure is on to perform. You are just another number there. They can easyly replace you in no time. There's no background checks for anyone. Union controls who gets a promotion based on seniority and not by merit. So if that works for you then apply... Otherwise you will be stuck in a job with limited grow options.

There's no typical day at Regency but that's what makes it interesting. There's opportunities for advancement, growth, and continuous learning. This comes from Management down and the environment is very collaborative; including with the executive team. The environment is fast-paced and you will accomplish a lot in a day, but the company recognizes that and encourages family time and work/life balance. Not to mention the Short Fridays are AWESOME!

Is is a good place to work, stressful at times. Not enough advancement opportunities in some of the departments. The union in the shop floor makes it difficult to improve and evolve.

There are people in the management team trying to make change but many are used to the way things are run. The company has clearly moved from a family business to being bought out by a corporation. Employees who've worked there for a long time can feel the disconnect with the new ownership. 

Typical day of work will be the best ride of your life, is fun, productive and by the end of the day you will see what you accomplish. Management is really good and people orientated. Company does not estimate to invest in new technologies to grow.

There is no security for the employment.You work like a dog and after reaching the goal and finished their back orders they will lay off workers.If you want a short of time working then apply here,But if you want long term work then this not the right place for you.
