Unfortunately this company is not what it was a few short years ago, I attribute this to poor management where profits are the only concern. Rrsp's have been slashed, previous employment agreements not honored, minimum after hours billing taken away to the point it's not worth being on call given the stress and enormous workload techs recieve. Company culture is non existent, morale is rock bottom and don't even think about communicating this with management because they assume you are against them at all times and run the company on fear and people's desperation to feed their kids. 

If money is your only concern and you don't mind high stress day in day out, not knowing what you are working on until the morning and constant schedule changes then give them a try but keep in mind you only have one life to live and this job is hard enough at the best of times. You are expected to cover on calls that open up at a moments notice because of the sky high turn over rate. Knowledge is safe guarded by experienced techs and not freely shared so learning opportunities are rare so it's sink or swim, which adds to the stress.  Your mental health will suffer here, no question.



It's just one of those companies that has completely missed the fact that it's the tradesmen and frontline staff that's out there making money for the company every day, yet they are not really treated as such. Meanwhile, they have an unnecessarily large team of "estimators", who seem to have no idea what they are doing most of the time. And the management team are wondering why the company isn't making a huge profit. There are some really excellent technicians and other staff working for this company, but their priorities are completely backwards. Just very badly managed in general and no matter what trade you are, if the plumbing manager doesn't like you, you're out. 

Word of advice - if you are on a job and dispatch tells you to come back to the office and come see your manager in the middle of the day, you are about to get fired. 

A typical day means being at the shop early unpaid. A weekly staff meeting is mandatory, also unpaid. If you start your day running service calls and the calls stop coming in you can expect to be waiting a while to be given more work, also not paid while waiting for work. If there isn't enough time permitted on a PM and you bill your time, you're simply just not paid for it. You have to pay for half your uniform. The dispatchers treat and speak to you like you're a trained monkey. The field staff is treated as office support staff, instead of the other way around, whatever it takes to make life in the office easier. The plumbers have it pretty good though, but that's because the ops manager is a plumber, HVAC techs always get the short end of the stick.

Day to day operations is very hectic and constantly changing as the turnover for employees is very high in all levels of the business, dealing with the operations manager is very stressful and taxing on the mind as he has very poor people skills due to his arrogance of self accomplishments and constant bragging, I spent just under 2 years dealing with all levels of management in both HVAC and Plumbing departments and I can say without a doubt that dealing with the operations manager is a very challenging and difficult hill to climb, Reggin is a good company and a great place to learn, if you can get passed the operation managers poor people skills you can make lots of money here

It’s an alright place to work I suppose, but I felt mislead during the interview. They said they do mostly commercial work, but in reality they do a lot of public housing and residential condominium plumbing maintenance work. They say they pay more than most companies but they don’t mention the unpaid ‘training’, unpaid work meetings and worker paid uniform. If your tool breaks or wears out on the job they won’t replace it. 
The pros for some is the opportunity to work a lot of overtime/on call. But if you only want to work 40 hours a week then you won’t be looked on favourably after awhile. Another pro is that the guys are a decent bunch, but they deserve a little better treatment.

-  Management expects you to reply to emails in 15 min, rain or snow
- Management constantly monitoring GPS in vans and idle time 
- Expected to pay high prices for company uniforms
- Tech year end bonuses removed as management received exessively large bonuses  

Company has extremely high turnover rate, though company owner was always friendly. Management is where the company is failing.

This is hands down the most well organized mechanical contractor I've work with. Attention to detail on the job and a fantastic and knowledgeable team that will go out there way to provide the information, tools and support needed so you can be successful. If you want to learn your trade well, not cut corners,  willing to work hard and be compensated fairly then you will enjoy this company. Working hours can be long but this goes with the territory of service work. Overall there can be a very accommodating work life balance when based over the long term.

Workday is a mixture of maintenance or service work depending on what has been scheduled. Service days can be busy depending on temperatures I like to do mostly service work so they try and accommodate that whenever possible. There is a pretty solid team of techs at this time so if I ever need help I can always call someone. Pay is good it's at or above normal rates depending on your experience and they have RSPs. Its a larger company so there are definitely more procedures than a smaller shop which is annoying at first but you do get used to it.

If you want to work for a small company that feels like a massive corporation because you are micromanage into the ground, Reggin is the place for you. They do not value thier trades, they don't even really value thier customers, otherwise they wouldn't be so quick to put warm bodies in vans. There's no positivity there and I only really realized how bad it was after working for a company that actuslly appreciates what I do for them. Steer clear like it's covid.

Get ready to drive to the office every day clenching the steering wheel worried about what's going to happen next... Don't have your computer and phone on you 24/7 when you are off work? Get ready to get written up... Tech screwed up on your job? Write up. Great employee performance reviews then suddenly told you've had performance issues from the beginning... Also get ready to be forced to work all kinds of hours with no extra compensation.... Whatever you do don't ask for a day off for a family event..
