Co-workers make it one of the best places I've worked. Truly phenomenal group of caring individuals.
Hardest part: Dealing with the inconsistencies in care across the board and week long wait times for simple procedures or tests that would have the patient discharged in 2-3 days instead their LOS (length of stay) is 7-10 days. Unacceptable.
Best Part: Knowing I make a difference.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The ward staff were great.But management could be better

It is a very stressful job being a nurse and no real support from your manager

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very stressful but the staff are really great where I worked

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy all day long. Sometimes there are times we can have a few laughs. But mainly it is strictly busy

my typical day at work was cleaning a room for client and making sure the client was satisfied. I learned that is important to have a clean environment for the health region. There was not really a hard job it was fun atmosphere to come to work. The most enjoyable part of the job was accomplishing the tasks for the day and seeing the happy faces of the people.

Had a very good experience working in the lab office at the General Hospital. Always a friendly, productive, positive environment.

Took care of all the lab reports & mailing of them throughout Saskatchewan. Answered many phone calls from doctors offices, labs & calls within the office. Sent out inter office mail as well

There is too much gossiping in the workplace and politics between staffs. Management didn’t care at all, younger nurses are bullied and senior nurses (not all) bring each other down especially the young nurses or new ones.

I enjoyed my time at the general hospital as a student. it is an ideal place to learn new and exciting different patient care delivery methods. i would recommend this place to anyone.

It was a place that always had you learning new things and you learned things from other staff. Was a great environment, I wish I was still there.

Excellent job. Great people I was employed for just under 2 years and enjoyed this job very much. There are great people and things run smoothly most of the time.

It is a good place to work. The unions in Regina general hospital are very good. It has very good benefits for employees. In most units, it is not stressful.

Nice place to work a lot of different people. Many different patients to look after. A lot of turnover lately. Work short a lot lately.
 Just need to down size myself.
