A typical day was always challenging and rewarding. I worked with diverse groups of children and adults with ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I learned to multi-task, be empathetic, be well organized, maintain confidentiality, how to balance work and home life, and many useful skills. The team of employees I worked with had very similar morals and work ethics. The hardest part of the job was not taking home my job. I had to learn to separate work from my private life, which is not easy in this type of job. The most enjoyable part of being an Educational Assistant was the joy of helping children and parents overcome obstacles and boundaries.

i t was a challenging experience at my first year,trying to adapt to the culture of teaching and learning, having come from a different cultural background. it later became interesting and productive having spent few months adapting to the structure and modalities of working with students and colleagues from diverse cultural background to become an inclusive entity within the educational system. it actually afforded me an opportunity to learn new things and also to present them  with my own past experiences.

1. Productive but not overly busy, fun complimented by a god challenge.
2. I learn how to become a better leader, communicator, and a teacher.
3. The hardest part of the job is having to jump from school to school and not creating a strong relationship with the student in contrast to being their a lot. 
4. I love getting to know new students and help to fuel their passions to strive to do something great for themselves in their life.

A wonderful place to work but be very careful. A typical day involved a variety of tasks and interactions with many people. Management was approachable and everyone was friendly and collegial. 

The hardest part of the job was the unspoken expectations and erroneous attribution of faults. 

The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to help people to do there job better.

I thoroughly enjoyed working in the school setting. My job included reception, accounting, typing for the principal, dealing with students, teachers and parents.  Everyday would be different from the previous day, which made the job exciting and rewarding

As an EA, I get to work alongside many different teachers and students. The teacher is a great starting point to learn more about whatever child I am assigned to, and once I know the child well enough I assist the teacher in alternate lesson plans for one-on-one education.

I love working with kids and seeing there progress throughout the year.

The co-workers and management are great. The staff get along. You come home happy. Enjoy the job cause there is always someone that will make you laugh.

I thoroughly enjoy my job. I’m looking to subsidize my income with a second job. I cannot work any more hours there is no overtime. I only get 30 hours a week and there is not a lot of raises.

Work with special needs children in school environment. The job was good and had benifits but was 6 hours a day and no pay for school holidays. Not a living wage for one person

It is a good place to gain experience as an EA working in different schools under RPSB. With a variety of staff, you learn every day. Moreover, great support from staff towards new families.
