Worked here for 2.5 years in the call center.Somedays i would take 130+ calls while my co workers are only taking on avg 50+.The work load balance was really unfair.Management seemed stressed always hiring,Final straw for me was when they hired a group of about 6 friends all right out of highschool who were making the same wage as i was  doing less work plus bringing personal drama to work.They also have no HR Dept so if you need to go to anyone it's the presidents assistant who has worked there forever she clearly has no prior HR exprience.A few people were off for medical reasons she threatened and harrassed them if they didn't submitt personal medical details to this woman they would lose their jobs even after they subbmitted a doctors note saying they would need x amount of time off. So unless you have no other options for work i would skip this job and find a more professional company to work for. The call center is about 10 years behind in techology the process of doing things were very dated compared to other call centers i have worked in , they have some 20 year old first job train you,when i asked how long she had been there she said 5 months,i wondered why the assistant manager or a more experienced employee were not training,i figured it out as time went on,that the more experienced people got paid to basically do nothing.While myself and very few others would pick up the slack on taking over 130 calls

A typical day was firing up the computers, organizing my tools and boxes for shipping, then I would go around the shop and pick orders and then I would bring them back to the shipping department to be carefully packed and sent out for delivery. When I was doing sales I would handle phones, take orders, make picklists, I would look at atleast 5-6 different web pages for the different brand names and model numbers that I needed to find for the customer's order. Management was great, kind, friendly and very understanding. My co-workers some were a positive experience some were a negative experience. the hardest part of the job was the clawbacks when you had the everyday other aspects of the job. The most enjoyable part of the job was when everything is running smoothly and I was out in the store picking the parts in the aisles.

A typical day at reliable parts is you start your job half an hour early before you're allowed to clock in sweeping floors, dusting and cleaning. Then you can clock in and you start doing everything you have no specific job. They expect you to answer phone calls. In order to get a bonus you must answer 80% of the phone calls you must have so much in sales. They make it in your bonus very hard to reawhen. You ask for a raise, they tell you you're not worth it saskatoon reliable parts, is it 2 persons store?  So if you get sick, the store is not oben if you're working by yourself. Receiving does not get done. Shipping does not get done and stock picks. Do not get done. Reliable part is a horrible place to work s***** pay, no raise, no advancement. The company does not have your back whatsoever.


A typical day at work is asking entitled customers for the information you need to get them the correct part. They will not have said information and then berate you as "youre the pro" "well thats not very Reliable! (Hahahah)". The place isnt run well, the review system for raises and stuff is absolute garbage. Imagine you do not miss a shift so the manager at your store gives you a 5 out of 5 for attendance. The manager in a different province says "well we cant just give 5s so lets go with a 3" that happened on most selections on the reviews, which in turn lowers the raise. The staffing level is a huge joke as it is too busy and they want the phones answered and a whole lot of other stuff done which is impossible with 2 staff members. They do not care about your well being and they really do treat you as just a number.

Working for Reliable Parts has been a great experience. 
On any typical work day I deal with a mixture of high level account customers and retail giving me problem solving experience on all aspects of the industry.
As a manager of one of the highest revenue branches I was mentored and appreciated by my upper management as well as some of our biggest customers. 
The most challenging part of my job was keeping up with the changes set forth by our suppliers which I accepted with eagerness and was successfully able to relay to my staff.
I took satisfaction in the satisfaction I brought to my clients while maintaining Reliable policies and procedures.

The manager often cuts corners making your job harder,
He often wastes your time with tasks that he should be handling.
But then later complains you arent doing enough. (Goodluck finding someone who does more than i did)
 
Hopefully you dont have to train him to do your job like i did:
They changed to a new system after i arrived and i was the "go to guy". 
 So i had to train all my fellow employees AND MY BOSS even though i was the new guy.   
Because i used the scanner/new system the most so i knew the most about it.
No credit was ever given, no training wage was ever paid.  A simple good job, would have actually been enough.

Calls are pleasant, and orders from customers are as well, of course, there are issues, but with the right understanding, they can be easily rectified. The people there are kind and engaging, hardworking, and move as a family. The company is fast growing and always evolving. The immediate supervisor is the glue to the Call center, she is a Definite Star, and needs to be recognized as such. the best part of the job was the workflow, never a lull in calls and the coffee Machine... I can't stop telling friends about it! The hardest part of the job was the location was far, but those are the things that life holds for us.

I worked for the call Center for 2.5 years! My manager was so connected to his team and all the higher ups were understanding of situations that come up! 
The call amounts is enormous on Monday and Tuesday you can take up 120+ calls but they don’t demand you take that many there is an average of 70 calls a day! They provide the training and all the equipment you need! For me the call Center was a big family and it was the best job I have ever had. I left to focus on schooling full time! 

Avoid working here.

The customers are entitled and unaware of their actual needs, many (but not all) service techs are either ignorant and unaware, or completely self absorbed. Time off is difficult to get, especially because your local store is dependent on whether or not staff in another city, in another province, have time off. Raises are nearly impossible to get and they look for any reason to withhold annual raises at reviews (and they do).

The environment is very friendly and easy to get along with the staff. If you need help with anything, anyone is willing to help you out . You have your own work space that you can adjust to your liking. Facility is very clean and well-maintained. Management are very approachable. Hardest part of the job is dealing with a difficult call, but everyone around is helpful in resolving the problem. The most enjoyable part of this job is that there is a balance of work and fun.
