The people i work with are great. They are what keep me going there. I love working for and with people because there is something different about each person. But where i work the management is over whelming and inconstant. employees are scared to talk to management, scared to ask for time off and even scared to call in when sick. Scared in fear that we will be punished by being ignored and having hours cut which often happens. Management is also very discouraging as they belittle you and poke jabs at you here and there. That is my department only,every department has different management. When doing my job I help customers, take care of my department, clean, prepare food, and answer all questions to the best of my ability. I love my job but need more security in it and a more consistent manager who is willing to communicate with their employees.

Remarks is a good place to work, though I see it more as a transitional work place.

Typical day for me was going in, bagging groceries while supervising then closing out the tills at the end of the work day. My coworkers seems to share a similar feeling of wanting to find something better.

I did enjoy the people I worked with and for the most part the customers were of a amicable nature. The most enjoyable part was retiring to the office for the last few hours to count and process the day's cashflow.

Management is a joke. It’s all favouritism at its finest. Staff lies about other staff and tries to get you in trouble. Manager doesn’t listen to the real issues and deals with the unimportant ones. Strict and unprofessional. Owners don’t care. Work harder than you ever have or get talked about behind your back by managers and staff. At first I felt valued. That changed. Over all not the best place to work. My mental health suffered. 

Fast paced and stressful environment under normal conditions.   This is NOT a job for someone who is not interested in keep up with the pace.  There is a lot of after hours cleaning up to do, in a group effort, before leaving the job after the store closes.   You must be willing to work weekends, always.   As a newcomer, it is essential that you perform shifts that end at the store closing hours.

It was an interesting job. I was glad to worked there because  I  learned a lot about food and recipes for  specific people 
and their diets, which I  consider to be a great skill to have gotten from them

Relaxed work environment and the owners are warm and friendly people. 
There is good teamwork, the place is nice and if you are good you stay as long as you want.

Typical day of work was enjoyable, the hardest part is keeping upset customers happy and staying positive.  Co workers and management are all very friendly and make working fun.

Pretty repetitive. But a lovely team of staff whom are well trained. Management were friendly and smart. Very structured environment.

The only nice thing about working at Remark was the free piece of fruit!  Managers are gossipy and crude. No safe food handling. Really mean spirited co workers

Great job that help fund my education.

Met lots of nice customers.
