I joined the company excited about the opportunity to sell high-quality products and to build a strong career in a growing industry. I approached the role with full dedication, arriving on time, handling appointments professionally, and always aiming to represent the company in a positive light.

Unfortunately, despite my commitment, I didn’t receive the support or guidance I expected from leadership. I frequently asked my manager for training materials, feedback on my performance, and clarification on expectations, but I rarely received meaningful responses. Often, I was told “we’ll work on it” or “I’ll get that to you”  and those follow-ups never happened.

I was surprised to be let go without any formal performance reviews or prior warnings. There was no performance improvement plan or coaching, just a sudden decision that I had not met expectations, expectations which, to be honest, were never clearly communicated. I was never given any sales targets, benchmarks, or structured coaching to help me grow.

I take my responsibilities seriously and am always open to learning and improvement. But I believe that in a performance-based role, open feedback, ongoing training, and management accountability are critical to success, none of which were present in this role.

While the company has potential, I found that it was not a place where growth was encouraged or supported. There was no clear path forward, and success often felt more dependent on luck than on process or effort.

They have no conscience and only care of fattening their wallet.  They have no issues taking food off MR. & Mrs. Customer's table in order to sell the window which they cannot afford.
Trainer - very disrespectful, very crude, rude to the point of harassment. He is very proud of his behaviour.  Sent out without teaching all products and without all the material or equipment to sell properly.  When customer resists they encourage you to be rude. In their words:" They called you in so you are there to punish them."
Mangement doesnt care how you get the sale just get the sale and you are berated if you do not sell. Their leads are not qualified leads and you are wasting your time and money to go to dead-end leads. Clients are lied to by call centre that the consult is 60-90 minutes but management wants you in there for 3.5-4 hours. This places a bad taste in the customer's mind.
Workplace Culture - Boy's club. Same as being as Univerity residence -it's all about the raw-raw. 
There is no life balance - you are constantly getting disturbed by the pinging of your phone with nonsense.
There is a reason that Mississauga office is not growing as very few Reps stay due to the disrespect, bad leads, no life balance, poor training and no support. All leads are filtered. If they do not like you you will get all teh bad leads. All great leads are given to who they like.

Working for this company has been an experience filled with contradictions. While the role itself is reasonably suited for beginners seeking to develop foundational sales skills and resilience in the face of rejection, it is ultimately a low-risk, low-reward position. The challenges do not stem from the job itself, as I gained valuable insights during my time there, but rather from the management practices in place.
Management's approach to employee relations is heavily performance-driven, leading to a stark contrast in treatment. Those who consistently achieve high sales figures are celebrated, while individuals who experience even a brief decline in performance are quickly marginalized. Meaningful support from management is virtually nonexistent, and raising concerns through official channels often results in retaliation rather than resolution. Management appears to prioritize shielding one another from upper-level oversight, frequently resorting to strategic relocations that disrupt employee performance and create justification for termination.
While my initial months at this company were positive and filled with growth, the experience was ultimately marred by leadership dynamics characterized by favouritism and power-driven decision-making.


I am currently employed at this company, and based on my experience, I would advise potential candidates to approach with caution. The work environment lacks a cohesive culture, and job security appears to be a significant concern. Over my time here, I have witnessed a number of terminations, particularly within the "care" department, which has created an unsettling atmosphere.

It is concerning that a pattern seems to have emerged, where the same manager is responsible for multiple dismissals, often during probationary periods. These decisions are frequently made without providing adequate training or support to the employees, which raises questions about the fairness and effectiveness of the management approach. Notably, the dismissal of a long-term, high-performing employee left a noticeable impact on the team and the wider company morale.

While there are reviews of the company on Indeed, it is important to note that some of these appear to be written by management, which may not fully reflect the experience of most employees.

In summary, this company does not prioritize the well-being or development of its employees. The best way to navigate working here seems to be keeping a low profile.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great Company. Amazing team. Renewal by Andersen of BC has a Conducive environment. Authenticity in the product. Renewal cares about its Clients. They control the entire process and have hands on every Project. They are not in business of ripping people off. This Company genuinely cares about people. I have nothing but great things to say about this Company. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing really, As long as you get your Job done. There’s no stressors. Every one is happy. The company is happy,  Clients are happy. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great working Space and environment. We keep learning from each other and knowledge is power. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work is fun here because we all striving for the same thing. Be better individuals and keep Learning from each other.

I worked for RBA for 2 years was recruited by a former colleague.  Yes it is absolutely true that this is a sales driven company no doubt. I did well hitting their presidents club. Made a lot of money. However I was drained and I did put a ton of kilometers on my car. They train and over train even if you're not being compensated.  There's no work life balance. If you're a individual who doesn't have many family responsibilities and wants to make a lot of money and can close. THEN THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU.  They are highly performance based! Also they have their sales methodology down and on point.  But make your money quickly because even the great sales agents leave because the expectations are not sustainable.  They have 2/3 core guy's that make $350 to $ 400 I was on track if time of for Covid for $250,000. However it did require extreme commitment and no time for personal or family. 

Company has a sales script they expect you to memorize and follow during your in-home appointments. No flexibility to adjust the routine according to circumstances. Went along on some sales calls with experiences reps during training, and witnessed homeowner's begging us to leave after 4 or 5 hours, but routine was not done yet. You are expected sign homeowners up for a 20,000 plus window project on the spot. If you don't, they will send someone else to follow up and if it then lands, they get the commission on the work you quoted. Management is both disengaged and disrespectful. There is constant turnover - you will note they are constantly advertising on this platform. 

Was disappointed overall. Asked for help but never received it. Company sends senior sales reps to “your” customers that you just visited behind your back and offers the customer a better deal to close the customer. You receive NO compensation for your efforts. Their territory is all over southern Ontario despite their advertising. No compensation for driving time/fuel/food/etc. Was in Barrie one day, Fort Erie the next. Then to Pickering/Oshawa to Cambridge...it’s nuts. You receive the worst leads possible and need to drive all over to try and sell 1 window then convince the home owners ALL their windows need replacement.

You will be told you are an independent contractor and can make 200k plus.  Do not believe it.

- The time requirements and lack of schedule control makes you an employee.  You have to be available for 12 "primetime" time slots, which basically means every weekend and week night.  Its a hassle to get time off and basically looked down on for having a life.
- 3 week bootcamp, getting paid $500 a week. The 3 weeks is so redundant and they are trying to get everyone believing the culture.
-  selling sales manager who handles on the leads.  Guess who gets the best leads?
-Extremely poor communication and treat everyone like a number and easily disposable.  

My colleagues are very easy to work with - great team environment and open door policy. Culture is fun, engaging, and collaborative. There is a fun committee that hosts several team socials. Incentives and bonus structures are quite reasonable and transparent. Love my time here so far, senior leadership and the executive team in particular, are very easy to get ahold of, share ideas with and they truly value your professional development/career advancement.
