Resound School of Music

I worked with Resound for 4 years and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience (I didn't want to have to stop teaching, I just needed to focus on graduate studies). Nonetheless, I would highly recommend  this company to anyone wanting to teach music to students. It is particularly beneficial since Resound handles all the scheduling and billing, leaving more capacity to invest in the students and teaching. They map out the best route for teaching for you, so you don't have to worry about figuring that out on your own. 

I felt very supported here by the staff. Even with my changing schedule every semester, they always were very happy to accommodate me. Additionally, my safety was a top priority; I always felt supported, heard and taken seriously if anything came up that needed addressing. I always felt very cared for and left feeling satisfied each time I communicated with the manager and admin staff. I felt valued as a employee as my skill increased each year as a teacher, this was reflected on my pay. 

I also loved getting to do lessons in the students' homes, since it provided the opportunity to develop a relationship not only with the students but also with the parents and family. This job is so rewarding! 

I absolutely love working for Resound School of Music. It is an incredibly well-managed school, and as an employee I always feel taken care of. The director and admin team always do whatever it takes to make sure their employees, as well as their customers, are happy. I can teach at times that work for me and my students, and I am in charge of my own lesson planning, meaning I have complete freedom in my teaching approach.  As a teacher, it's important to me that my students get the best music education possible, and Resound facilitates this perfectly.  I feel really lucky to work there!

I have worked for Resound for almost 2 years at this point and have loved working for them! They have high quality students and families that respect their teachers. They conduct a consultation with each student when they register so they can be matched to an appropriate teacher. I found this method to work very well. It's also very convenient to get lots of info on the student before the first lesson so you can make a good first impression.

I have worked for almost 10 different schools at this point and Resound has been one of, if not the most positive experience. Despite being remote (in-home lessons), there's a strong sense of community with the management. They constantly check in on you and are very easy to get ahold of if I ever have any questions or concerns. The director clearly values his teachers well-being, I always leave with a positive feeling after any interaction with management.

At Resound, I found a workplace where I could apply both a passion for teaching and a love of piano, with nothing less than incredible support from the company. 

Hours are flexible as I create my schedule, teaching an average of 3-4 students throughout the Lower Mainland. I design the curriculum I teach, which gives me a lot of room to cater to each of my students. 

I appreciate that Resound will back its employees and offer them room to grow and excel. My experience so far has been excellent!

I started teaching at Resound School of Music in July and I am enjoying it quite a bit. The office team has built up a roster of students for me a lot faster than I expected, which is great. The office team is really responsive and supportive whenever I reach out. They have also done a phenomenal job with creating an efficient schedule with very few gaps in between lessons, which I really appreciate. The hardest part of the job is finishing lessons on time, especially the 30 min lessons and the best part is being able to watch students progress.

I have been working for Resound for the last 6 years, and they have been by far one of the best employers I have ever had! They match students to teachers, so I always get great students that I get along with and LOVE to teach, and their recitals are always super inclusive and fun to participate in. The hours are really flexible, and I have been able to schedule my students around whatever schedule I’ve needed without any problems  Plus, I make a very competitive wage that is much higher than most schools in the area. The director of the school always makes you feel like a valued teacher, and puts his employees’ happiness first. Overall, an amazing place to work!

Resound has been a great music school to work for! They fully believe in supporting both their students and teachers and will do whatever they can to help facilitate a great learning/teaching experience. The office is extremely kind and helpful and provides quick responses to any questions/issues that may arise. Additionally, the office handles all scheduling/billing so you are able to just focus on teaching! Resound believes on instilling the love of music within their students and allowing teachers to take an individual-based teaching approach. Overall, a great company to teach through!

I have been working at Resound for a few months, and the Resound team has been extremely kind and always made sure to support me and assist me! The students that they have matched me with are great, and they always try to arrange them so that I don't have to travel too far, which I really appreciate. They are also very accommodating to my schedule, and are willing to be flexible in arranging students when I am available!

Resound has been an amazing school to teach for.  They are very catering to your schedule as well as the type of students you are looking for.  The administration is very hands-on and organized.  The director will carefully do the consultations for you before signing students to you.   Quality of teaching is very important to the director.  If you are looking for good clientele and are passionate teaching I would highly recommend applying for this school.

I have been working for Resound school for about 2 years now and I love it. Most students decide to take lessons for at least 6 months, which is great because you get to see their progress and it provides a steady income. Some of my students are still taking lessons with me after 2 years. 

Classes are conveniently arranged to your schedule. 

If you have last minute cancellations, you still get paid!
