What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing to benefit from working there. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with 2 faced managers and morale declining. Toxic work environment. Managers who bully and punish you by cancelling shifts scheduled or no postings for weeks.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic, mistrust, no confidence in supervisors/managers, low morale, employer playing favorites. Little to no benefits. Casuals are management minions.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Worked in fear from supervisors/managers spying on you with all the cameras around the building. Some shifts are ok to work on.

Flexible work hours allowing you to take on different shifts to fit your schedule.

Fun group activities for promoting teamwork and cohesiveness.

Typical day at work includes lesson plans for the two different groups of kids.

The hardest part of this job is taking care of kids who are disrupting the class and not actively participating.

Benefits are that you get a free gym membership and most of the people you work with are going to be nice. The culture feels a little depressing though.

I don't recommend working here if you are trying to move up or get career development. There is zero career development, even if you ask and show initiative. Showing initiative can lead to being taken advantage of and being vastly underpaid.

Worked there over a number of years and thought the Oval was a great place: it is but as an employee we were treated poorly.  Senior managemnt seamed to be missing leaving the poorly trained front line supervsiors to rely on senior staff.  There was no set rules, lots of guessing and some unsafe situations.

Dealing with very difficult customers

Nice coworkers, high expectations with low rewards, poor management, auxiliary workers treated poorly, no work/life balance, unfair distribution of work hours, free membership, the place to be if you love fitness and sport, mostly part-time work.

Amazing combination of nepotism and supreme prejudice. Extremely tough to get a job, even harder to keep it. The workplace is  competitive and micromanaged to the max

Managers are consistently micro-managing you and aren't appreciative if you are normally a serious looking person. They tell you that they're there for support but they'll lay you off even if you're trying.

A typical day at work was amazing, we would have an interactive early morning meeting with our supervisors and co-workers to discuss the day. The most enjoyable part is probably the time spent teaching and coaching the kids

Working at the Richmond Olympic Oval is a blessing.  The state of the art facility will motivate you every morning to get out of bed and return to the clean, productive, and collaborative team you will be working in.
