I loved my opportunity to work there. Not only was the pay and benefits incredible the work atmosphere was so much fun. All the employees seemed to be very happy which made your shift always enjoyable. I learned so much in this position new computer skills and spread sheets for the monthly reports. The hardest part of the job honestly was saying goodbye when my area closed down due to renovations after Hard Rock purchased the company.If I could have transferred to another area that had hours suitable to keep my other job I would have taken that position. Overall just an incredible work experience that never actually felt like work felt more like a second family.

A typical day as general manager would involve discussions with the race office and other departments to make sure that company operations were progressing smoothly.

As communications and marketing consultant, I would advise on how to increase the visibility of the raceway to attract and maintain race fans. I also would plan and hold events and act as emcee. I also communicated with Ottawa city council and the media to make sure that local government was onside with our business model.

Tip out is highly rewarding, but is definitely earned. This is not a job for the faint of heart - you can expect to walk more than 17km as a busser in one busy, 5 hour shift while carrying 30lb+ buss bins across the heavily-trafficked buffet area, to the kitchen, many times per hour, on top of many other duties. You will most likely be scheduled for double shifts as well and management is not concerned with overworking their staff.

Equipment is far outdated, poorly maintained and something is always broken.

Show up, do the job, have some conversation and a few laughs and go home.

As a busser in the restaurant of the casino, you work very hard to ensure you flip as many tables as possible. Bussers do most of the heavy lifting on the restaurant floor but arent paid very compared to the work that we do. Scheduling is an issue and currently understaffed. That being said the working with the people there is fun and makes the day go by fast.

You have great stafff and management to work with the management is a little disorganized but they do there best with there busy schedules. Given a opportunity i would go back to work there. I would reccomend to work there to anybody.

- It was really boring and tedious. Not much going on.
- No benefits but I was part-time almost full-time. 
- Dealing with rude and upset customers occasionally but thats the restaurant industry for you

I worked there when it was RCR and Hardrock combined. Hard Rock is complete trash.

A wonderful place to work.  I worked there for ten years and enjoyed  working with all departments.  Bosses and co-workers were friendly and enjoyable to work with.  It was a pleasure going to work each day.

RCR is a good facility to work at in the sense of the tips to be made regards in good money. Also many of the co-workers, who are not higher in management than you, make the job a lot more beneficial than it really is by creating a good work environment. Other than that it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Pretty good place to start out working. The work culture is pretty conservative with little chances for higher pay though. Recommended for students or those looking for part time work.
