Rideau Centre

There are many different stores and positions available, so it all depends on where you are working. I have had a few jobs here. One of the jobs I had, my coworkers and bosses were extremely friendly and accommodating. I never did have any problems with them. My hours however, were very low. Another store I worked in, it was the complete opposite. My coworkers were troublesome, and the management was sub-par at best. But I got a lot more hours. I did learn more about working in the retail environment, and learning more about how to work with customers. The hardest part of the jobs I had was getting used to standing for long hours while also working hard to make sure the store was in good shape.

Overall, it was a very good experience. The management are well tuned in to the needs of the people they're managing, and they are very respectful of your time with regards to scheduling. Even working part time, I still got many of the same benefits as the full-time workers (health insurance, etc), which is very impressive for a part time job. The pay isn't especially high but it was still above minimum wage, which is still higher than I've been paid at other similar jobs. The job itself isn't difficult, and I found it less stressful since we weren't really expected to sell anything or hit any targets. 

Super fun workplace with great hours of operation.  Was never at work before 8am or there past 11pm.  Excellent job culture.  Made friends with many other employees at the Rideau Centre.

It was for work placement at school. It was one of my first experiences in a real work environment and I enjoyed it.

amazing tight-knit group of people. Slightly hard to balance work with school and other aspects of life. Management was fantastic and very understanding of life obligations.

Under staffed, not enough people working to properly service the large amount of customers coming into the store. Fun co-workers good for people in school

great mall to work at with a great selection of stores and places to eat. would suggest free parking especially for employees because paying for parking every time gets expensive

Great place to work. Other stores are friendly, and you work together. It becomes a big community to work with and enjoy each others company. The whole mall is great

Working at Rideau Centre, has been the most stressful 2 years of my life. The management is poorly run and the workers are over worked and under paid.
