Open office environment which is not respected at all - people make noise all day with no regard for people trying to work
Complete bullying environment – expected overtime, insane – barely manageable workloads, constant micromanagement, impromptu disruptive hallway meetings your forced to tolerate as they just don’t care, intimidation tactics daily, constant arguments about everything – daily 
They actually plan to “TRAP” people here to stop turnover – if you need to trap people - that’s a pretty good indication something is very wrong
Certain people have nothing but bad habits –  a horrible coughing problem that is not even attempted to be quiet about, which means everyday of your life you get to listen it – its so loud it’s hearable 100 ft away and as often as every 2 minutes - if that’s not insanely horrible enough this person also fidgets with a pen constantly
It has been admitted that these habits are annoying but has no intention of stopping cuz its “who I am”!
Supervisor was lucky to get promoted – hes undesignated, hardly gets things right, too many bad habits that are insanely annoying, doesn’t have the personality to command people in such demanding environment

Was a great place to work under previous management.  Historically company navigated previous downturns without layoffs recognizing employees were core to the organization.

Layoffs rarely consider performance and commonly target younger employees who are earlier on in their careers with younger families or less tenured staff over staff who have been with the company longer or are of retirement age and no longer want to be there.  This is done to save a few dollars on packages.

Company suffers from a serious lack of communication between management and staff.  There is no consideration or support for working together in teams or respect for the chain of command.  Decisions are often made in isolation between individuals and their corresponding vp without involvement of the balance of the team; unfortunately a chronic problem. 

No longer promotes from within, very limited upward advancement. 

Integrity of two newest vp’s has become a serious issue recognized by both current employees and industry at large. 

Atmosphere is very stressful with regards to politics and trying to avoid them.

Once industry improves many will likely leave.

Expect  to work overtime,  will be questioned if you leave on time.
Also expected to  work on weekends and public holidays but surprisingly the supervisor himself will never show up.
If you happen to have breakfast at your workstation,  will be asked to put in extra time to makeup for the time you wasted eating breakfast. Don't be surprised if your supervisor follows you to washroom to keep an eye on  you.
Sycophants will be promoted, hard workers will languish. It's not what you know but who you know.
Supervisor will himself screw up accounts but you will be blamed.
Managers dont care about staff and are all united to find your fault and your supervisor rather than standing up for you, will be more than happy to join other managers in finding your faults.
Do you yourself a favour, save your health and find some other place to work.
Supervisor was just lucky to get promoted, no job knowledge and no people skills either. Oh.............almost forgot... and he does like to yell at his team.  Good luck!

A pleasant and fun place to work, a busy day would include
drilling/completions reporting.
Preparing AFE's for partners. Sending information to government
bodies.
Keeping good communication with all departments is important.

Management are very professional. 
Coworkers are hard working and fun to work with. 
The hardest part of the job is the balancing of the Operations
(drilling/completions) work with the AFE's that were being prepared.
But with paying attention to the workload, and hiring a junior administrator made a difference.
The most enjoyable was the staff I worked with they were hard
working and fun at the same time. We always made sure that the workload was always completed on time.

It depends on which team you are on but I generally find the culture excellent at Rife.  Compassionate management, exciting projects, employees are given a lot of decision making ability, stable funding, growth opportunities and a fun work culture.

Salary is average/fair but the long term incentives can be lucrative.  

Very nice offices (not open concept), flexible

There has been rapid expansion into the United States.  This has resulted in developing a better understanding of the US business environment.

Now that Covid restrictions have been removed, there has been more in person social events which helps to build a team culture.

Enjoyed learning and handling the complex, challenging, and intricate land holdings the company owns and maintains.  It was my pleasure to have had the opportunity to work there and wish the company further success.

This was a decent company providing good opportunity for advancement. Exciting people to work with and challenging day to day activities made it very rewarding. The executive were very knowledgeable and understanding.

Rife has changed significantly over the last ten years in regards to corporate culture and job satisfaction, security. Career advancement is limited.  Management of three companies is a challenge.

There was great management in place and they cared for their employees. Rife spent money to keep their facilities clean and optimized and It was a great experience to work there.
